would love to see that as a feature, maybe after you bite it off, your character spits out a couple teeth :eaglegag:

Infinite Teeth works; think there was something for balance in things like take and hold as well, but whatever.

Isn't that like super dangerous? IIRC a number of soldiers have died from trying to do that because I guess it didn't prevent the internal fuse from lighting off.
Once the pin is removed, Mr. Grenade is NOT your friend.

Technically, as long as the spoon hasn't been released, it's possible to put the pin back in and render the grenade safe again. Well, as safe as thrown explosive device can ever be considered. And obviously if the pin hasn't been broken, then it should be possible to put it back. I mean, someone put it there to begin with, right? I even have a practice grenade that has clearly been used, but someone helpfully recovered the spoon and pin, and kindly put it all back together before selling it. So, it's possible.

Is it a good idea? Absolutely NOT! It can be done, probably only in an emergency where it cannot be thrown to a safe location for detonation. You have to remember that the pin and hole are pretty small. And the pin, assuming again that you haven't broken it, is split lengthwise, and will likely be splayed apart making it even more difficult to put back in than it initially was.

Also, good luck doing it one handed with no tools, and knowing full well that if you screw up you are dead.
So, no pressure. :SkullCarma:

So yes, in real life it would be incredibly dangerous to store a pinless grenade in a vest pocket or elastic strap, trusting that it wouldn't jostle loose.
In H3VR, though, I can see where it would be convenient to have the pins out and grenades ready to throw, since you can actually trust the vest pockets.

Well, if you screw up you have between 3 and 5 seconds to make sure you and the grenade are no longer co-located.

You hold onto it for dear life and look for a hole to throw it in and then get the ♥♥♥♥ out of dodge, probably.

Squeeze that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ tight and get to a place where you can yeet it. Don't try to bumble around with the pin or whatever cuz apparently that's how people get killed.

I remember seeing a video that mentioned putting the pin back in and how many soldiers have died trying to do that. The video was about pulling a grenade pin with your teeth iirc. Which is also a bad idea, like trying to open a beer bottle with your teeth. Maybe if you pre straighten the pin but that's dangerous to carry around on your kit like that cuz some brush could snag the pin without you knowing, and if you're gonna pre straighten it in the heat of the fight you might as well just pull the pin with your finger and skip the cool factor points.

I think this is the video I saw, I don't have time to watch the whole thing to be sure right this second though

And if you absolutely cannot get to somewhere where you can throw the grenade? Get someone else to put the pin back in while you hold onto the grenade with both hands. But even that's not the best idea. Sometimes though, them's the breaks.

Those pins aren't easy to pull. Just so others know... you're not mouthing those pins IRL. That's just 80's action movie stuff.

Yea if you bumble it just a bit and let the spoon off just a little it sounds like it could be enough to start the fuse without you even knowing it.
