Howdy Folks,

Given the Quest 2 just released it seemed prudent to make a pinned post for a bit to answer common questions. So here ya go:

Can I play H3VR on a Quest 2?

- Yes, but you still require a PC to do so that meets the minimum specs for a VR machine.

What do I need? [/b]

- Look under Minimum Requirements on this Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/450540/Hot_Dogs_Horseshoes__Hand_Grenades/

- Also, you will need to MAKE SURE TO INSTALL STEAMVR!!! The game will not run without it.

- You will also need a cable that Oculus Link can run well over. More details can be found on Oculus's official pages for that feature: https://support.oculus.com/444256562873335/?locale=en_US

I hear you can stream it without a cable, what's that about?

Lastly, please note that as we are not Quest 2 users, we cannot answer specific questions you have about it, and you should seek said information in the r/oculus subreddit, or in the relevant discords.

Will H3VR every be coming to Quest 2 as a NATIVE application?

- No, it will never be coming to it, or any other Facebook exclusive platform/device.

I am having issues. Where do I get help?

- Please make a thread in the BUG REPORTS section of this forum. When doing so describe your problem in as much detail as possible. Include your full system spec (all hardware in your computer), where you are playing over Link, VR Desktop, ALVR. If the later, two, please also include what router you're using, and how far away you are from that router (this is a common cause of issues). DO NOT POST PROBLEMS ON THIS THREAD. THIS IS NOT A SUPPORT THREAD.

Where can I go to discuss a problem I’ve ran into? I can get everything loaded through steam VR. I am in the lobby. I can access the menu buttons, but I can’t move at all and I usually use swing movement.

Please create a thread in the Bug Reports section, and I will help you there. Please read the pinned threads in that section first, as they will cover common problems, as well as what information you need to provide for me to help.

If I'm understanding this right, right click on the game on your library and hit Properties. That should be your answer

someone has probably already mentioned this but i think it should be added to the guide, which is that steam has a free steam link app on oculus quest 2 and it works great if you are planning on using it wireless

yes theres a steam remote play app

There's an official Steam Link app for the Quest 2 now. This thread should probably updated to include that. Plus, it actually works better than the methods listed here since it basically eliminates all the "Middle Man" software (as i call it, such as the Oculus PC App or Virtual Desktop or etc.) and just connects directly to SteamVR

i have a quest 3 slim but whenever i boot the game it puts me at like 12 feet tall i have no idea why it doesn't do this for anything outside of steamvr

You need to redo your room setup. Player height is determined entirely outside the game. It is not anything I have control over.
