Oculus Rift Laggy / Crashing Problem
So I haven’t played for a while and I decided to enjoy this amazing game again since I finally got some spare time. But when I started the game, on the computer screen, it is fine, it can goes like 144Hz no issue. Then once I put my HMD on, everything goes crazy. First, it is lag AF, like 3-5 FPS, then it freezes with some random black out(the screen just goes off and on), then I heard the usb removing sound and it says my sensor is missing, then SteamVR and the game just crash. Since then, I get the 475 error almost every time and some times the sensor and the controller won’t be detected. I don’t know what the actual hell is going on. I tried to update my GPU driver, reinstall the game, reinstall steamVR, reinstall oculus driver and stuff. And it doesn’t seems to work. One thing to mention is the steamVR setting shows my GPU driver version as unknown, don’t know if it matters but just mentioning. Then I borrowed my friend’s HP mixed reality headset and try it to see if that’s working, then the game worked perfectly without any lag. Now I am frustrated. I just wanna enjoy that game in my own equipment. I don’t know if that’s my pc’s problem? SteamVR’s problem or anything else. I am just trying to see if anyone suffer the same issue and if the dev can give some suggestion.
Pc spec:
Razer blade 15 2018
i7 8750H
16G ram
1070 Max-Q
I believe it is more than enough for the game as I can run hyper smoothly with other headset.

1. Is this a Rift, or Rift S?

2. When you are playing VR:
- set your screen's refresh back to 60hz
- ensure GSync/FreeSync are turned COMPLETELY off. They interfere with HMDs.

3. If SteamVR is saying your GPU driver version is unknown though, something is seriously wrong with either your setup, or that actual HMD. The fact that your friend's WMR worked fine on your computer, and the Rift didn't, means that either:
- something is wrong with the Rift
- something is terminally messed up with your drivers, and you might just need to reinstall windows
- there is something about the Blade's gpu-to-motherboard connection that can't deal with the Rift.

You should try seeking tech support from Facebook, or try installing/running your Rift on a friend's computer to see if the issue is your machine, the device, or who knows what else.

Oh, also ensure that none of the following applications are running:
- Geforce experience
- fLUX
- Citrix Workspaces (this must actually be 100% uninstalled)
- Any non-windows antivirus.

1. It is a Rift
2. I will try that tonight
3. It actually do work perfectly fine when I first bought the computer and installed only H3VR, the rift actually work fine in oculus home or steamVR home, I have only played H3VR recently so far so I will have to test other game to see if the same thing happen too.
Thanks for your reply though, I will try everything I can do to make it playable again :).
