Can't press multitool button in Robot Repair with Index controller

I just went to try the new update for The Lab with my Index headset and controller. I've heard great things about Robot Repair, so that's the first place I went. After I placed my multi-tool in the charging station, I was instructed to press the button on the multi-tool. I pressed every button on my Index controller and none of them worked. Any advice?

I'm having a similar problem. My controllers don't seem to work in Robot Repair. I am unable to teleport and the charging station is outside my chaperone wall. When I am able to reach the charging station, none of the buttons respond. I checked the integrity of the game files and Steam re-acquired 2 files, but it still isn't working. Everything was working perfectly before the update.

I am having the same Issue... just got the steam index and all the other games work except for Robot repair i get stuck right at the start at press the button...

I tried un-installing The Lab and re-downloaded and re-installed. Didn't solve the problem. Re-setting the room play area more than once also did not solve the problem.

Oculus rift S here - same issue - everything else from the lab works, but can't use a button in robot repair.

Has anyone tried submitting a support ticket for this issue? I know Steam Support is not very responsive on game issues, but since this is a Valve game with issues effecting their new Index, you'd think they would help. I've tried, but Steam Support is apparently completely broken for me. For several days now, I try to submit a ticket on The Lab (Robot Repair) for this controller problem and every time I get: "There was a problem submitting your help request to Steam Support. Please wait a few minutes and try again". It never goes through. Maybe someone else will have more luck submitting.
