Just because I recommend this pack (ongeki global when) doesn't mean I'm allowed to be critical about it:

As someone who plays a bunch of rhythm games that has ONGEKI crossovers and collaborations, this is one of the most predictable set of songs to be added to DJMAX. All of these songs have been crossed over to other Gekichumai games, or has appeared in other games e.g. Arcaea. Nothing really stands out in this set as a result.

This also alleviates an issue the Arcaea DLC has which is unnecessarily high difficulty. 6B only has a minimum of SC 10. If you're not a rhythm gamer already, beginners are not welcome (to play the SC diffs, but there are always lower diffs I guess...)

And yes, no keysounds are worth mentioning, but I don't really expect Sega to be willing to give keysounds. However, if Lowiro would (a much smaller indie company), why not Sega?

However, not all is bad:

If this is your first time of hearing ONGEKI, this is a pretty representative set, just like what I said for Arcaea pack. Unfortunately it doesn't have any character songs but I can imagine the licensing might be complicated for those ones.

I'm also HIGHLY THANKFUL that they're using system BGMs for menus, because for whatever reason they used DLC tracks for menus for the past many DLCs. The last time they used source material system BGMs was back in Cytus II pack.

The noteskin is pretty distracting but the combo and judge gears are perhaps one of the best. If you care about gameplay this is a good bonus.

Ultimately, this is a DLC that's high value for those who've heard the songs in other games (i.e. maimai and CHUNITHM (or proseka...)) but falls off pretty quick. Wait for a sale if you're on the latter part.

Pretty good songs for hardcore players.
Am I disappointed that they have no keysounds? Yes.
Do I care? Not much in this case.
