unlocking endless mode

i saw on another post the dev said you had to complete lower difficulties first but what does that mean? each difficulty tier (casual/normal/hard/brutal) or each difficulty tier (casual/normal/hard/brutal) per threat level (peril/explorer) or each difficulty tier (casual/normal/hard/brutal) per threat level (peril/explorer) per location (catacombs/sewers/arena/cemetery/cathedral of flesh/boss rush) sorry, it wasn't made particularly clear :/...

EXPLORER MODE THREAT TIMER QUESTION

How does "Threat Timer" effects enemy scaling in "Explorer Mode" Increasing timer obviously make game easier for threat mode but is this same for explorer mode or vice-versa Higher timer= higher difficulty right? (This is opposite for standart mode i guess)...

Ultimately disappointing.
I misunderstood the reviews complaining about the grind. I don't mind a grind, but the advancement isn't satisfying and the gameplay doesn't leave room for variation.
People raved about the music, and trust me, Skull Horde has one of the best trailers I've ever seen... but I never saw any of that cool stuff play out in game, and the music was fairly bland for my expectations.

This game is peak and hits my necromancer horde needs perfectly. I hope 8BitSkull continues to make games like this in their amazing style for years to come. GET THIS DEV TEAM A MARKETING BUDGET

Mixed.

Procedurally generated dungeon doesn't really matter for gameplay, it's all flat, no environmental interaction.
Eventually, gameplay converges to: spam return to me and abilities while you rush through level to reach portal.

Depending on difficulty picked, either build doesn't matter or you must commit to a build and get screwed by RNG.

It's kinda fun making your own army to point of lagging, or elites that can delete boss in seconds.
But fun eventually wears off.
You start new run, pray you get rare item that lets you consume enemy corpses (practically item generator), and bulldoze your way.

Music good tho.

Champion Choppers are better assassins than Assassins?

For Champions: Base Chopper damage - 130 Base Assassin damage - 20, which is pretty much nothing. They have up to +400% damage increase with missing enemy health, but even in ideal conditions with this bonus maxed out their damage is still lower than the Chopper's, and in real conditions it will be less than half of their damage most of the time. They have the same attack cooldown, the only advantage in DPS is that Assassin has 1% higher base crit. But I don't know how high you need to stack crit chanc...
