Job Simulator

Black Screen on launch.
I played for a good two hours, the next day I turn it on and boom nothing but a black screen. All of my other vive games work just not this one. In the vive it says job simulator is starting... But on my pc its just a black screen. I have try verifying the files, re-downloading the game and nothing. Please help.

Ouch, that sounds annoying. Can you write in to us at owlchemysupport (at) google <dot> com? We can help you troubleshoot over there.

An update! We're currently chatting with Valve to see if we can get this resolved. In the meantime, if anyone else is having this problem, feel free to add your details so we can start narrowing down what's causing this.

We've found the issue and will be doing a patch to prevent this moving forward. For folks who are having this issue now, you can delete your save file to fix the black screen issue.

Simply trash the contents of: C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\LocalLow\Owlchemy Labs\Job Simulator and launch again and the black screen issue should be solved. Sorry for the troubles folks!

But I beat the game 100% :(

actually i deleted the files and started the game and nothing worked

Then we'll definitely need you to write in and describe what you're seeing. Also, please attach a System Report (generated through SteamVR) and a screenshot of the SteamVR Performance Test results. Then we can start sorting out what's going on.

I am still getting this when I attempt to start the game. It worked fine in the past but now all I get is a black screen in the headset and on the display monitor. I tried deleting, reinstalling, verifying game cache and reseting my computer and nothing seems too be woorking. Please help!

Can you write in to support[at]owlchemylabs[dot]com with whichever platform this is happening on (Steam with Vive, Steam with Rift, Oculus with Rift, or PS VR) as well as step-by-step instructions of what's brings you to this problem? Once we have that, we can start troubleshooting what's going on.

Worked for a few days then black screen on launch. Deleted saved games. Uninstalled reinstlled. Still black screen. Only game that has trouble. Htc vive Gtx 1080

Bummer! Can anyone who is experiencing this problem send your output log to owlchemysupport (at) google <dot> com? If you installed Job Simulator to the default location, that log will be located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Job Simulator\JobSimulator_Data\output_log.txt

I had a similar issue when trying to play this on oculus rift, the fix i eventually found was to reduce my PC desktop resolution from 1920x1080 to 1600x900, (i know this is a really late reply but i found this thread when trying to get a fix for the issue, sorry if this doesn't help you but it may help someone)
