What happened to the in game menu?
I haven't played in quite a while and jumped in for a few mins last night, long enough to see that some things seemed to have changed.

I could have swore there used to be a way to access a menu inside the game that you could adjust some graphics settings and also be able to create a static camera to record the action. I also remember an update saying something about a way to access an in game chat window for twitch and stuff.

I couldn't find any of this. Kept hitting the menu button and nothing happened. I was only able to create the briefcase and eat the burrito. Is all this gone, am I remember wrong, or did I do something wrong here? Thx

Hi there! You can access Spectator Camera by flipping the lever underneath the console in the Museum. It's right next to Shorter Human Mode.

To access other settings like Twitch Chat you'll have to open the console on your desktop screen while in-game. In the bottom left corner of your desktop view you'll see a button-- press that and the overlay menu should open!

If you're having trouble with this, let us know! We're happy to help you access these controls.

Hi and thanks! Maybe you could help me with this other issue. I ended up having a massive windows failure on my other hard drive and replaced it with the one I am on now, reinstalling everything. Now my progress in game is gone but I still have the folders and everything on the other hard drive (the failure was within windows itself so they should be fine.)

Right now I have the game installed on the new HDD, and was wondering if I just copied all the folders from the old HDD over (overwriting what is already there) if the game will then update itself again and I will end up with an up to date game with the progress of my old one?

No problem! Transferring the save file itself from your old game folder to the new one and overwriting it should work just fine. If you installed Job Simulator at the default location, the save file should be located here: C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\LocalLow\Owlchemy Labs\Job Simulator\User\JobSimulatorSave.save

We recommend backing up the save file you want to keep until you've tested the game on the new hard drive and confirmed that it works. Let us know if you have any issues!

Hmm... thats wierd. I actually had xfered my entire appdata folder from the old HDD to the new one. When I looked in the directory that you mentioned for both drives, they contained the same file dated back on June of 2016.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't have been looked at when loading the game.

Interesting. Are you able to load your previous save data now?

I'll get back to you this weekend when I'll be able to play again.
