I'm going to rate the classes, 1st number is LD 2nd is LDWU
Engineer 10 10
Black mage 9 9
Monk 10 7
Knight 7 7
White Mage 7 6
Gray Mage 2 5
Thief 3 2
Hunter 3 5
Imo thief is the worst, in LDWU there arent many steals worth it. But in LD if you want to steal an extra Kali ring it's really great.
Gray Mage physical is good, hunter status effects really help sometimes knight can be a tank and damage dealer, monk is super at extreme levels.
I know this post is old, but just wanted to but in, that if you build the thief for "Throwing stars" he can 1 shot anything besides bosses in both games.
I was going to test out the Thief due to this post but I saw Throwing Stars was nerfed to 3*DEF 6*ACC -2*DEF, down from the 9*ACC from before.
I wonder if you know about this as your post is recent, and if throwing stars is still as good as you say?
Edit: I did some searching, a video from 2019 shows the formula as 6*ACC. I wonder if the strategy guide was just wrong showing 9*ACC and it was always 6 the whole time? Interesting.
