For what it's worth, I first heard about the game through the Super Best Friend's Play podcast. I couldn't tell you which podcast, but within the last 2 months at least. heard about it when only the prologue was out.

I'd say it's kinda unfair - in time of devaluated scores on gaming sites - from PC Gamer to give you only 60 points. They gave 87 to papers please and while papers please do some things better/deeper than you I don't think it's justiy 27 points drop.

PC gamer's review is pretty BS considering they skipped the tutorial and claimed nothing about mixing is explained to them well.

i understood everything about how the mixing worked literally within like ten seconds of dragging a drink into the shaker. it is one of the most intuitive system i've ever seen, i don't understand how they could ♥♥♥♥ themselves over it

pcgamer incompetence aside it's kinda surprising the breadth and depth of coverage this has gotten. i was expecting the standard "it's good if you don't mind the anime" response that typically comes to a thing like this but there's a lot of legitimately well-written, thoughtful articles about it.

Agreed- a lot of that review read like they'd never played or even heard of visual novels before. I hate to trot out the "hurr hurr back to Call of Duty" attitude, but... clearly they need more bright and shiny distractions in their gaming.
