Localization and you

So, we've already gotten one thoughtful remark (so fast! @.@) about a possible French localization, all without us harassing anyone. I'm starting this thread in case anyone else ends up feeling particularly generous, so we can coordinate and figure out what to do about TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION.

(This is what happens when there's no one else to tell me to hush.)

From there we'll see about grouping you guys into collaboration teams based on language. Depending on the volume of people who send mail along, you may not get a response until you've been grouped (could be a while, especially if mail trickles in over time). Also note that we may not be proceeding with every language or volunteer.

I'd love to join, but apparently there is a fan korean translators group who is working on the va-11 hall-a right now, Check https://steamcommunity.com/groups/TSMva11halla# group for more information(there is nothing much to see though.) Group manager is https://steamcommunity.com/id/IMBADA and I think you should talk with him about the current translation process. I'll gonna send my e-mail when it's necessary.

Great. I sent a mail on sunday and i have been working since then. I have day 1 completely finished (all dialoge variants and such). There is hard stuff around (puns and jokes), but it definetly can be done. Hope to get in contact soon and see if we can get some quality translation out. I'll keep getting stuff done

I can offer my help with a German translation if somebody gets one going. No experience with the organisation or technical side of things, but I was in a team of three for a book translation once.

I'd be in as well for that.

If publisher or developer sees this message: we need some official word regarding the translation of danger/u/, AE reports and Miki's blogs: since they are in picture form, will there be a tool to generate them from translated text, or we need to Photoshop the pictures directly by ourselves?

Alright! The flow of mail is slowing, so we're going to group people up and send out scripts next Friday (the 15th). Say, after the end of normal work hours, Pacific time. If you've written in with specific questions that I've missed, I'll (hopefully) be answering those before I send you material.

If you read this message after the 15th and would still like to help we can see if there's a neat exception for you. Squishing you into existing groups may not be nice, but if you to translate into a language nobody else has offered? Easy exception! Script for you.

I believe those will all arrive as text files. You shouldn't need anything more than a text editor!

Am i late? I just sent an email for the italian translation! I don't mind if i am the only one, i'm already used to this kind of work anyway
