DId i miss something?
I just played through the game, but it feels kind of unfinished. So many themes are hinted at, but nothing is really explained. Gil's origin, Dana's arm, what becomes of Sei and Stella, what happens to the bar, what happens with Jill afterwards, what happens with the city...

It feels to me like the author ran out of steam in the middle and stopped the story.

I mean, that's the point? Not everything need to be explicitly told in a story. Things like who the hell is Gil and Dana's arm not being expanded upon are part of their character. Sometimes hinting and leaving the mystery in the air is more interesting than going on tangents for free exposition.

Others are pretty clear. What happens to the bar? It closed. What happens to Jill? She goes on with her life, iirc Dana put in a word for her in another bar. The city? Nothing, it keeps on just as always, etc. Nothing unfinished about any of those, the story just ended where it should. :conwayshrug:

In that case the game shouldn't have teased so much with it's world building, which was actually pretty good. I now remember the ominious hacker from the log posts in between the days was also left alone.
There were so many Chekovs Guns that I can't help but think those things were just forgotten and the game story writing was aborted like "I'm getting bored, let's wrap this up and ship it anyway."

I know I definitely really wanted to know what was happening with, for instance, the Lilim getting weird messages and whatever, but, while I was disappointed at first - and thought the end came way too abruptly - on reflection it... was okay.

While more worldbuilding would be super nice, it's meant to reflect the fact that you don't always get answers to your questions. Sometimes you run into a person or thing, and all you can do is think "...what was up with that?" for the rest of your life, as you'll never run into them again. Idk, while I would have preferred there to be more explanation - because things were super interesting - I get it, for what it's trying to be.

I see your point, it does finish with a number of threads open, but they most likely were low on time and funds for the game, since Venezuela isn't a very cozy place at the time, and there is a planned sequel that is releasing soon™, so we might get answers later.

Gil origins, Dana's arm and Dorothy/Anna stuff you don't get to see about them because Jill didn't get to discover it, there is no excuse for that.

Since Sei left the White Knights after the Apollo Bank, she started working as a Bodyguard, I not sure but I think I read somewhere that Stella now hires her.

The bar closes, as the dude above said.

Jill goes on a trip with Dana OR she gets stuck on Alma's apartment depending on if you have enough money for the rent, either way Dana send a good word to another bar for Jill to work on.

The city it's still the same, but a tiny bit more brighter for each ending you get. (symbolic, not literal)

The Omnious Hacker we pretty much know who they are Alma, they are still active but keeping the profile low with copycats screwing stuff over.

There are more stuff, but I can't seem to remember it, feel free to ask and I'll try to dig it up.
