When does VA-11 Hall-A take place?

Due the game using dates and numbered days....I managed to figure out that the game either takes place in 2072 or 2078. Due to 2073 and 2079 having the exact days, this makes determining which year it actually takes place in difficult. What are your guys' opinions? I think it's in 2078 myself, though i dont have a good reason why...

I'm agree with 2078.
I think some Donovan's background need over ten years.(Hong Kong etc.)
But can't find some ending date.
Jan. 15(Friday) is 2072 and 2077.
Aug. 27(Saterday) is only 2072.
What is your opinion of ending date?

2077? sorry you must be mixing up your years....2077 isnt in the game at all. You must be thinking of 2079. Also i checked to be sure (before i even made this thread), and indeed 2079 and 2073 (which is where the endings (all of them!) would take place) basically have the EXACT same days.

My opinion is till that the main game takes place in 2078, which makes the endings take place in 2079...

You are right. Aug.27 is Sunday. My memo was mistaken.
But Jan.15-2079 is Sunday, in game display Friday.

Friday? Huh maybe i need to look into this a bit more. I didn't memorize all of the dates i only went off of christmas and couple of others.
Is Jan 15 the "Bad ending"? cus that's one i didn't look into.

so ive been looking at a videos of the game and i noticed something from day 11's news: Glitch city is less than 55 years old. i did some math and found that from today (2016) it is either 56 or 62 years till the game.

While either it's 2072 or 2078, this leads me to believe even more that it takes place in 2078. This is becuase 2072 -> 56 years from now is cutting it a little close.

The city looks like it's been there for a while, so this leads me to believe that, perhaps, it was formed in the wake of a former city,or on top of an existing city. Like say, New York city or something. Perhaps the Great earthquake that the game talks about in another article of news may have something to do with this transformation.

Also i feel like Anna here in the backround is just giving me that look she knows exactly all the details about this, but just feels like hiding them from me....
