Well with Map 5 you should be able to unlock Sei...
I'm afraid I can't help you too much, but I do really understand where you're coming from. I've personally been farming a lot (whenever i'm not asleep, busy with real life stuff, or repairing), in order to get at least *A* Echelon to level 70 4x (and ideally 2). I find my biggest problem is keeping up with enhancement, moreso than actually levelling... though the leveling itself is taking forever. My main Echelon is only in mid 60s, and my second combat Echelon is in the mid 50s... And neither has a HG, so i'd need to level two of those too...
Here's a grinding video for Sei and Stella I can 100% confirm it works because I got Sei two days ago doing just this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L63Nt36cSoQ the issue is if you're girls are on the weaker side; you'll burn through more food and ammo. :(
Even with my best level 100s the boss on normal mode pretty much brought them all down to like 1/3rd of their total hp over the course of the fight. I hate to say it, but you might be able to get Stella as she drops from one of the first mobs on the map, but Jill's a different story.
Did you check out the guide I linked? It walks you through each stage with pictures and text rather than video format.
As for the last part with unlocking all the story I have very bad news for you. Once you finish the normal maps, you're only halfway there. It then goes on to the much, much harder maps after that for more lore/ story. It also doesn't help that none of this is archived like the main GFL or other event stories.
Uhhhh, are you sure about that? I read that none of the story is linked to doing the Emergency versions...
I would pick and choose who you give your cores to with care because of how much of a pain they are to grind. Here's the current tier list for the CN vierson, apart from a few dolls we can't have plus the Digimind Upgrades (This comes from after we have the Singularly event which hits in Nov/ Dec this year). For hand guns you can get away with having them at level 30 with only 1 or 2 dummies, but the team will be slightly weaker overall for this. Remember all the events will have some night missions so don’t neglect them because they really are quite handy.

https://en.gfwiki.com/wiki/T-Doll_Index Use this to match the dolls with their English names.
It took a few goes, but I got the photo in case someone wants it (Spoilers just in case)

Easy to grab and link dolls that'll come in handy:
2 Star;
M1911, Nagant Revolver, IDW (Yes, really... No really, please come back...), FN-49, LWMMG, G3, MP-446 and Type 64
3 Star;
M14 (Fantastic even before Digimind) and Sten MKII
4 Star;
Colt Revolver, G36, M1918, SOPMOD II, M3A1 and Mosin-Nagant
You really should be leveling the free dolls you get from the main story. Or at the very least M4A1 and SOPMOD II
Would it offend you guys if they made it easier? My friend in question was really upset he couldn't use support echelons, so maybe that's an option. I think I'd like it if they just cut the enemy count. But it's probably useless to speculate and ask the team to do that.
I'll see where I can go in game, watch those videos and guides, and maybe return here if I have any other questions. Thanks again.
Given I only started GFL on the very first day of the event, for the sole reason of Vallhalla crossover... It seriously would not offend me, personally.
But I'm probably not your target demographic for that question.
Speaking for myself, the problem isn't so much the enemy count but the numbers next to them, it can be very deceiving that one pack of mobs with say 3000 str can be much weaker than say 2500 all because the 2500 have the shield blocker type dolls. Then there's mobs which you should avoid like the plague even if they have a lower number etc.
I think they should have three tiers for these events, that way they can bring in new people with much easier maps and still get the rewards, then two more tiers for mid-level commanders then the highest tier for the neets.
Giving the special dolls on the easiest tier wouldn’t even affect the other players because you can use them to give the special dolls their dummies rather than using cores. You can only get one Jill same with the rest (other than Sei and Stella, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grinding for just one makes me wanna vomit), so that means you’re gonna need 105 cores PER girl because you can only get one of each.
For this event all players were given a big pile of "Beer on Discount" item for free. This is a gift-type item given in the dorms similar to combat report and gives 10,000 EXP per beer. It can be given to any doll, and since 25 of them will boost a lv.1 to lv.50 (or a level 50 to about lv.70) the 125 free ones can be used to supercharge your main combat team or quickly raise a secondary.
There's also 20 more beer in the event shop which might be worth getting if you've been keeping on top of daily fragment farming.
I was planning to save those for levelling Jill... but if I get Sei, I might use them on her since she's a Handgun (assuming I can afford the core cost to dummy link her...), and I'll need one (per echelon...) for the Night missions, since time is starting to run out for me...
2x ARSMG 70 4x link, each with 1 handgun at 50 3x link, should be good to manage the last mission, right? Assuming I equip the ARs with night battle equipment. (Not planning to use my rifles, despite liking them [M1 Garand and M14, though I recently got a Springfield that I adore, but can't currently use...], because the final boss requires movement, and apparently rifles are pretty slow and will have trouble getting out of the way...)
The Beer on Discount can be used on anyone. The mail that includes it just mentions Jill, I believe.
And Jill can MAKE beer as her skill. Lots of buff ability, but no ability to attack.
Sei is a champ and definitely worth raising! She's like Grizzly tilebuff-wise but with a skill that dramatically increases tank survivability.
