Outside references/parodies
In this sort of game, i expected the odd parady of real things, but not outright references.
The one that got my attention was an item from the store called the "Joker Cyclone" - it's a reference to a power-ranger-like tokusatsu show called "Kamen Rider W" where the main characters use a form called "Cyclone Joker"

There are tons more most liekly and I'd love to see if we can compile a list.

Yeah sorry I didn't make myself clear, I don't dislike fanarts universally, if anything I regret not being able to draw myself, I'm just saying I don't want to spend time looking lest I find something I wish I hadn't seen. What you gave is great though, it fits the aesthetics.

Looking through the achievements for this game. I think i found a few more.

"Tim's Curry" is referencing the british actor Tim Curry. Famous for The Rocky Horor Show, Home Alone 2, and The Wild Thornberries amongst many others.

"Listen to my song" may be a reference to the first line of Nana Mizuki's song "Synchrogazer" used as the opening for "Senki Zechou Symphogear"

"And now for something completely different" is a direct reference to the catchphrase used in Monty Python's Flying Circus

"Don't call be Becky" seems to point to the age old "and dont call me Shirley" joke, popularised by the cult comedy "Airplane"

"In the name of beauty" seems to be a nod to the first part of Sailor Moon's catchphrase from just after transforming: "In the name of the Moon, I'll punish you."

Will the discoveries ever end?:heyred: There was just a new thread on relation to the Raven as well...
I'm living in Japan right now and it's pretty obvious playing through the game that the devs have definitely been here, references to life in Japan are all over the place even outside manga/anime/game references:

- Jill has a Kotatsu (heatable table that covers your legs to keep you warm in winter) and also an air conditioner of the type that's popular in Japan (can cool and heat up the temperature) in her room. Cheap and small two room appartments like hers are basically the mainstay accommodation of singles/people working away from their family here, especially at Jill's age, for everyone who is not living at their parents home
- Instant ramen is all over the place
- You can see Lucha Libre type wrestlers fight in one of the TV programs, Japanese wrestling is heavily inspired by Mexican wrestling (e.g. Lucha Libre masks being the norm - which in turn inspired the different "masked hero" 'Kamen' manga/anime series and franchises)

- The intro features a konbini (convenience store like 7/11, though they also exist in the US)
- "Kiririn" is a reference to "Kirin", one of the biggest beverage selling companies in Japanwith a huge amount of market share and especially popular for their beer. You can see their name on the drink vending machine outside Valhalla in the intro (yep, probably 20-25% of those I see around here are run by Kirin) as well as a neon sign in the bar itself.

- Streaming chan is a walking reference to NikoNiko Douga, the most popular streaming site in Japan that's most memorable for overlaying the text comments over the stream video itself in real time (quickly running through it from the right to the left). Also some of her viewers spam the letter W (wwwwwww), which is the Japanese and I think Korean equivalent of 'lol'.

Thanks I always wondered what that meant xD

TIL that Seifer is the name of the antagonist in FF8. Also Seifar Toy company shares the acronym STC with Standard Template Construct.
Also the chan like discussion board you can browse on your smartphone is named dangeru/u/.

On 4_chan (can't believe steam censors the name if you type it properly <.<) /u/ is the Yuri board, go figure ;3.

EDIT: Found another one while playing write now: If you get Dorothy drunk on the second day, she tells Jamie that he doesn't have a 'Jamie face', he 'looks more like an Adam or Jack'. Jamie is designed after and an obvious reference to Adam Jensen, the protag in the new Deus Ex games (Human Revolution and Mankind Devided).

Found another reference to the devs liking tokusatsu. day 17, stella mentions a team of white nights (specifically 5 of them) that had modded thier suits to look like "henshin heroes" - it's a prod at the standard super sentai/power rangers team

Also day 17, end of day: Dana mentions "8th grade syndrome", also known as "Chuunibyou" - a term popularised by the anime "Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga ♥♥♥♥♥♥!"

Blue velvet is a 1950 song, and is featured in a 1986 film of the same name by David Lynch. And cobalt of course is a different way to say "blue".
Piano man also shares its name with a 1973 song.

One of Streaming-chan quotes about that singing idol was SHIIIIIIIIINNE SPAAAAARK. I think this is reference to Master Spark from Touhou, but It's just me.

Shine Spark is a song sung by *Kira* Miki. In fact, the song was jsut released on bandcamp by the game's composer yesterday

Listen to it and see if you think your theory is still valid

Shinespark is an ability in metroid, but the music neither seems metroid-y or touhou-y
