Graphics glitching/flickering
I had this same issue in Train Fever, and it seems to be happening again in Transport Fever. Which leads me to believe it's possibly a game-engine issue.

Basically, every so often, the graphics flicker or what looks like very minor artifacting on different areas of the map. Doesn't seem to happen in the same spots. I tried 2 different graphics cards, but I am currently using a Radeon R9 270X.
Also tried:
- Stock settings
- Overclocked settings
- GPU stress testing and benchmark with no issues (to test the GPU itself)
- GPU monitoring doesn't show anything to indicate an issue when playing Transport Fever

Running an i5 2500K, 12GB DDR3, SSD, Club 3d Radeon R9 270X. No other games have issues on this computer, only this one.

So anyone else have this issue, and find a way to fix it?
Is there anything else I could check?

Also running the latest drivers, Windows 10 64bit.

Since I have a 7990 did you manage to fix this? Have not bought the game yet but things like this make me curious before I do.

No, I have only found a few ways to "reduce" it, but noting to stop it completely.
Change the Multisampling setting mostly.

I got a reply from the devs... said there is a patch coming soon to fix the stability/issues... so I'm hoping that is part of it.

I've got 7970x2 myself with same issues, just as in Train Fever. How disappointed I was to see exact same issue in this game. I doubt they will fix this now, as they didn't for Train Fever.

Tested again with an nVidia card in the same PC, and no problems. It's an older card, and runs so much better than my AMD card.

This leads me to believe that AMD cards/drivers don't play well with whatever engine Train Fever and Transport Fever use. That's certainly a let down...

Hope that they can do something about that.

Can you test the other games with OpenGL? Because TransportFever use OpenGL, also TrainFever.
Acheronx Nov 16, 2016 @ 10:11am
I can certainly try that.

Do you happen to know any offhand? I'll look around. Preferably free. I don't want to buy a game just to test. :P

I have the same problem with my R9270x It plays fine , but now and then part start to flicker and you get some weird line black and gray lines coming from buildings that flicker. As you said I can go to the same place a few times and sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesnt. It also seams to get worse the the longer you play, like its a memery issue or something. After a few hours it happens a lot, and after restarting it donest happen as much. But like I said its not unplayable just annying when it happens.

While I agree that it's annoying, it also makes me worry that it's damaging. And I don't buy games to be annoyed with something that shouldn't be happening.

Sounds like the same problems I've had with AMD Dual GPU cards, random tearing on some games, and from the sounds, isn't fixed by turning off the second GPU. Shame as this game looks quite fun from the videos I've watched. Hope the patch helps, I'll hold off on buying this for now and check in again to see if it's fixed.

radeon 7970 flickers too, and isnt dual. (that was the 7990)

5870 in the other pc iirc didnt flicker

I'll have to try and find a card similar to mine, and they they play Transport Fever.

I ran some OpenGL benchmarks, and couldn't see any visual issues. Will attempt a stress test as well.

Yer my 7970 does this too was the same in train fever if they don't address this problem will be a shame as good game otherwise.

I am also running Win10 64bit with a R9 270 and have exactly the same problem.

Has anyone found a solution to this issue as yet please ?

Change to nVidia... and works just fine now. Sucks that AMD doesn't work. =/

I read this online (it does seem to help):

Also I suggest you to check the settings as below.
Type in cortana search box as “Adjust the appearance and performance of the windows”.
Click on it and select the option “Let Windows choose what’s best for my computer”.
Check if the issue persists.
Hope this information was helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist.

Also check your cables between your computer and monitor, it could be something as simple as a loose cable!.
