Texture problems: trees
Hi. I'm having problems with trees flickering when viewed from a distance. Its not very playable at this moment. I'm using a NVidia GTS 250.
I have been looking around for an answer, but nobody seems to have this issue.

I also had the same issue , and raised it during the beta test for the performance patch . No solution was forthcoming . Reverting your version of the game to the one before the performance patch will stop the trees flashing :

OK, I need to report an issue that no-one else has reported. The Beta patch causes all trees to flash alternating between a tree and a black blob they flash several times a second . I guess this is an issue between this new verson and my graphics card or somesuch as i am running old equipment now . This issue does not occur on the pre-patched game and occurs both in my save and a new vanilla map without mods created to test this .

My spec is i3-550 3.2GHz, Nvidia GE Force 405 1Gb, 12Gb RAM, W7.

AMD Phenom II 455 (something) 3.2 GHz.

Nothing before the patch, and much flickering now, unplayable :(

How do I install an older version of Transport Fever?

Have you tried removing the texture cache folder?
It's located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user ID>\446800\local\texture_cache\

I did, no difference, also tried to uninstall and remove all traces of the game I could find, including that directory, no difference.

Weird thing is that it is only trees that are glitched, houses works, factories work, station works, smoke works, trains work etc. So all other graphics in the game is fine, except trees.

I found this on the internet. It may be relevant , it may not be relevant.

You see black textures

This bug may be caused by third-party software, deactivate these programs before starting the game. ie. Teamviewer, Raptr Software, Gaming Evolved, MSI Afterburner, xSplit Gamecaster

I don'tr have any of these.
It should also be mentioned that it worked fine before the performance patch (nop tree glitches). The issue started with the Performance patch.

I wonder if the visual distance setting for trees is causing this. There is a mod that adds many more trees in newly generated maps. I know that having more trees would seem to make things even worse but that mod also changes the view distance of trees from 6000 to 3200 which is the only reason to try the mod on this issue. This idea may not solve this problem but at this point it can't hurt to try. Here is that mod.

I have same problem, have you find a fix?:D for it

Some news:
The devs have been able to reproduce the problem (I assume this means they know what causes it?) and are now working on a fix.

Just for confirmation, does anybody still has this issue since the thank-you patch?

Ok, but aside from GPU's that are below the minimum specifications, does anybody still have flickering trees?
(autocoach, the problem you refered to is a different one, this is specifically about the flickering trees)
