Odd error causing game to crash
So my rather long and detailed save game has decided to start crashing. I am getting this error in the log file. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I would really like to continue with this save game and finish detailing it.

It crashes when I run the game and it seems to happen since I've hit 2016.... could it be related to some vehicle spawning in traffic?

When trying to upgrade this station I would also get terminals not connected properly and if I didn't have debug mode on the game would crash.

Not sure if terminals not connected is a significant error, but it was definitely this particular one station kind of in the middle of nowhere and when the passenger tried to get off the bus to catch the train the game would crash. Initially I thought it was related to the road and the bus stop, so I changed them to default and then a year later I got the same crash. I upgraded the station to be a bit bigger and now everything is fine.

My guess this is related to an assertion that an active factory has a shipping path for its products. Check for any decoratative train tracks, passenger only footpath, or no-truck roads that eliminate the only valid path out for a factory.

Assertion ! result.moveEdges.empty() and PathFactoryOutput ...
Thanks for the tip. The odd thing is that I have not changed anything around factories recently and I have pretty much stopped all freight years ago. The crash always happens on 24th January 2016
So I deleted all industries and that didn't help. Then I deleted all passenger stations and a few cargo stations and now the game is running again... but I am none the wiser what is causing the problem... Trying to reload and eliminate continously is not fun when the game takes 7 minutes to load, but considering the fact that I sunk in between 600-800 hours into this save, I would really like it to work again
I have figured out the problem and I am posting the details here, in case others come up against it in their game. In a nutshell I've put in too many stations. By a station I mean anything that can load and unload cargo (freight or passengers). That includes bus stops and so forth.

I remembered that passengers are considered as cargo in the game's code when I was troubleshooting this, so I deleted the 10 passenger stations with the most people waiting and the game worked. I thought the numbers of passengers might be an issue, since I had over 1000 passengers waiting at a few of them. I then went the other way and deleted 10 random stations, including bus stops, freight stations etc and the game worked. Clearly I've come up against some limit in the game's logic where it works stuff out and the internal class that is used for the calculations can only go so far.

I do have a lot of small stations all over the place for shunting at train freight station and s-bah and u-bahn type routes. I did wonder a few days ago if I was going to have a problem when I was putting in bus stops and the game ran out of street names and just called them stop 1, stop 2 etc. :D
Looks like my joy was shortlived. The game is still crashing 2 months later with the same error message.
If I send all the busses on the map to the depot, then the game runs. If I replace all the busses, then the game crashes. This leads me to believe that the problem is related to particular bus stop, or bus station mod.
My first impression of the error might be that the game runs out of available memory, which causes the game no longer to initiate processes and crashes. I have no idea if the game's memory is limited, but try lowering some settings (shadow, texture, etc.) and see if it gets you past the 24th of January without taking precautionary steps, such as limiting the amount of buses or stops.

Strangely I feel as if I'm experiencing a similar kind of error with one of my save games. The game always crashes during transition from January to February of 1994. The error log doesn't show much information I can work with (primarily because I'm not too familiar with computer codes), but I think it has to do with upgrades of either town or industry. I haven't tried as much as you have to narrow down the possible errors, though.

I send the crash logs to Urban Games and they weren't able to figure it out yet. They even requested my latest saved game for further inspection. Seems a hard nut to crack... You might want to do the same so UG might take a look at it.
I thought it might be memory related too, so I deleted 4 towns and many of my large train stations (some have over 1000 passengers waiting), but that didn't help. My trial and error is definitely pointing at something related to bus stops at this point. This isn't the busiest map I've had. It currently has just over 80,000 people. My other map had over 100,000. I am using a few new bus stops and bus stations in this one though.

thank you... having the same problem.. I also have these kind of ultimate station and ignored the "terminals not (properly?) connected" error... I hope I can find the place..
edit 1: connected all streets connections... but that was not the issue..
edit 2: not related to newly created buslines... I wished this game would be as stable as simutrans is
edit 3: it was a train arriving at such a station...
I've had crash issues with that station mod as well. I agree it's with the station at it's shortest length, 80m. My crash happens if I try to modify it after it's built. Trying to change length, # of tracks, or road connections often results in this crash. I've not used the curve function, but I would imagine the same issue would occur.

My solution is to delete the station and rebuild in the proper configuration. Or just switch to a different station mod. I'd also like to note that my recent experience with this issue was on a map that started in 2018 so I never hit the date you had your issue at.
The year is not the problem. It' just so happened that was the exact timing of that first passenger arriving at that station. I've reported a few fully reproducilbe crashes related to this station to the author recently and he fixed them a few days ago. It is easily the best and most custimiable station available for the game, so if you can reproduce the crash, then let the author know with details and he is super responsive.
Terminals not connected is in general an game assertion to check if all platforms are internally connected so they can send passengers to the platforms.

Please report with params that lead to problem so that I can analyze it, already it's a very complicated code and I don't have debugger, so that costs time and need to have some good luck. (evident bugs are already fixed..)

btw, I seldom visit the forum here, so please report on the mod page
