Can’t open settings.lua

I’ve been trying to use the whiplash custom map and have been getting an error message “game initialisation failed: heightmap too large. Number of pixels must not exceed 16M.
I have tried getting into the settings.lua but they won’t open or download.
Has anyone got any ideas of what could be causing this.

You don't have to download it, you already have this file on your PC, all you need to do is edit it within Notepad on a PC.

(Steam/userdata/[steamid]/446800/local)

Search for and edit the following line in settings.lua file which should be in your steam files

experimentalMapSizes = false, -> experimentalMapSizes = true,
