Can't build roads/tracks

I'm bothered by something... In teh tutorial when you're supposed to build the first road, I can't build it. It says that you're supposed to click and hold the left mouse button to build the road, but when I do so all that happens is that the camera moves... The same thing happens if i try to build roads/tracks in a free game map

It sound like your left and right mouse button is swapped, as the right one is supposed to move the map or how does the camera move ?

well, when i try to place roads or tracks the camera moves as it should when you move it with the mouse, but the camera also moves when I use the right mouse button, so is it so simple that the settings has gotten messed up without me touching them?

Try restarting the game. I had the same problem and that fixed it for me.

Same thing here, both left AND right buttons of mouse are having the same function, meaning moving the camera.... Restarting the game really worked, how broken is that???? Almost four years now and the bug is still there? It's not a bug it's a cockroach!

five more years later the cockroach is still there but restarting fixed it

Game has not and will not be updated, ever since the release of Transport Fever 2, so any leftover bugs and issues will not be rectified.

I didn't notice that this was about Transport Fever lol. So this bug also exists in Transport Fever 2.

Never seen this error myself, in either game, multiple devices including Steam Deck.

Check your keyboard bindings.

Try verifying the integrity of the game files, or as someone said above, restarting the game.
