Save file location
The game autosaves every year by default, these saves are new files, so if you play for 8 years, you have 8 files in the directory. I run an SSD, and space is limited, so I hunted down the location to keep tabs on the bloat.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\###########\446800\local\save

The ## is your SteamID

There it is. If you have limited hard drive space, keep an eye on that directory. Also of note, this is one of the only games to save outside my USER directory.

Did you managed to change the location?
I'd be extremely grateful if you could say which way you did it... I have no more space for saves in my SSD.

The path is only directing to C in case you installed Steam on C, which I doubt since you obviously are a guy smart enough to consider what's worth to reside on your SSD and what is not.

Yes, I solved it and forgot to say it here. I just have a second steam download folder in other HD where I download all the games, that's why I forgot steam was on C... i just changed steam entirely to D so saves go D too, all is working fine again ;)

Tks anyway :)

works with the GOG version if you link the "save" folder

Just install the game on a larger drive, the virtual memory is on the ssd normally so there shouldn't be a performance hit, and then savegames are automatically not on the ssd either

Is there anyway to get it to save to a different location? because my C: drive has like 300 mb left and my D: drive has like 226 GB, my steam library is in D: drive but my steam saves are in C: drive, i already tried coping the folder with the saves to the userdata in D: drive but the game created a new file just like the old one where it was before

uninstall the game and re-install on a larger drive. backup your save games first.

You may be able to recover deleted files using an undelete utility like Piriform Recuva[www.ccleaner.com], it will depend on how long ago you deleted the files, what you've done to your drive since then, and the winds of chance.
