Easy Custom Maps with World Painter

This should be a guide but for now I simply made a video describing how I use World Painter (a Minecraft map maker) and the TransportFeverMods.com map maker to create custom maps easily. Hopefully the video describes it well enough, I'd like to see more maps in the workshop!

I linked my first map creation in the video description. I wanted to combine ocean, rivers, and mountains. The World Painter .world file is also provided if you want to tweak the map for your own use.

Keep in mind this requires large (experimental) map sizes.

I'm guessing that World Painter is a free (as in beer) program?

Many thanks - I've been attempting to use a painting app with varying shades of grey, gaussian blurs etc. to create height maps, but its just too difficult.

World Painter is available for Mac, and you also need Java 8 SE Runtime, which is a free download from www.oracle.com. The Apple mouse works the same as for the Windows version.

Not deep enough to be navigable.
You can drop a oil tanker in water of 1 meter deep...
You just have to make the river wide enough.
