How do you set Experimental Map Sizes to True again?
I have a bunch of maps that are bigger than the limits, and can't play 'em. Any help?

steam/userdata/yourid(It's the only map there don't worry)/446800/local
edit in the file settings.lua
experimentalMapSizes = false,
to
experimentalMapSizes = true,
Save the file (Don;t run the game at the same time) and your can play the maps

I know, but the game ID doesn't show up on Run. It just leads me to the internet website on Steam for the game.

I could be mistaken, but I don't think you need to enable the experimental map sizes to play on custom made maps no matter what size they are. Pretty sure turning on the experimental maps is purely to allow you to generate random maps of that size when starting a game.

An easy way to find the file AlwaysRM is talking about is to right click on the game in your steam library and select 'properties'. In the new window select the 'local files' tab and then select 'browse local files'.

I tried that (thanks!), but I don't have a "settings.lua" file. I also searched using File Explorer and there's no such file on my computer.

That will get you to the game-directory but not to the userdata directory...
There are some config files in the game-directory aswell though:
"\Steam\steamapps\common\Transport Fever\res\config\"
The settings.lua file however is in this Steam subdirectory:
"\Steam\userdata\<userid>\446800\local\"

None of those paths work. I did (finally) find the "setting.lua" using the Columbus method (just wander around till you discover it and then land on it), but "experimentalMapSizes" wasn't in it.
Again, *#^%$
I give up. It's not that important.

As thork mentioned, to enable the experimental map sizes, you need to open the settings.lua file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user ID>\446800\local

(it will most likely be this path unless you installed Steam on a different drive, user ID wil be a number that is unique to your account)

I installed it on a different drive (C: is my SSD OS, D: is everything else. Steam's game files are on D:).
As I said, don't worry about it, but thanks anyway.

The file must be there somewhere, surely, or the game just wouldn't work :)

Hey listen... did you find the map option yet? I have exactly the same setup with SSD and D:/ drive. I might have the solution to your problem... let me know. add me or something, or maybe i'll miss your reply.

I found the "settings.lua" file somewhere else, maybe this helps you.

It was located in "C:\ProgramData\Steam\RLD!\446800\local"

Also note that I have Windows installed in C: and my Steam games are installed on D: , and Steam also stores cache in some other folders around my HardDisks.
