Can you crash into things?

Two trains collide; does it do anything or do they just "ghost" through one another?

Trains don't ghost through (although ships often do, and so do road vehicles in congested areas sometimes). But they don't crash either; they just stop and sit on the track "waiting for path". At least that's what happens in my games; have never seen trains ghost/collide.

Occasionally a train may ghost through another train if you add/remove a signal or track near it.

Why, are you hoping for a crash to spice things up? No, as others said, you may see things ghost through each other, but that's about it.
