Stuck on Mission 6 EU Paris to Lyon

I have 6 200kmh trains with 88 passenger capacity running on 6 individual lines from Paris to Lyon and the most passengers i can deliver in a year is 265.

I have Paris at 94% goods, 70% machines, Lyon at 30% 90%.
I dont have Bus routes between the cities.
I deleted the Airports road to prevent them from taking passengers.

How do I increase train passengers to get to 500?

I'm up to 282 in year 2043...

Same problem for me. I managed to transport up to 450 Passengers a year when I basically stopped trains a few meters in front of Lyon towards the end of the year (to make them beeing "delivered" the next year), but more seems to be impossible.

I managed with two trains at 200km/h with 86 passengers each on a single line but only with a little luck on the timing that is they were full and the year had just restarted when they unloaded again and made just 2 trips each during that year. Spent quite some time laying down the tracks to be reasonable in cost and very fast. By the way I reached +280km/h (got medal!).

Im only providing Machines to one city and Goods to another.
Good internal bus system (clockwise and anti clockwise) connecting R-C-I to train station.
Didn't touch the airports.

No passengers are offered for me in the first place. I have significantly reduced the travel time by under 7 minutes as the mission objective states. I have 3 trains running but no passengers are being offered at any of the two stations. No idea how to go about this. Restarted this map several times but nothing changed. Anyone any idea's ?

stop the trains
Wait until people accumulate at stations
Run trains
Passengers board the trains
stop the trains
Wait until the passengers gathered at stations
Make sure that in our yard the month of January.

I also don't understand how to get passengers in a city to it's respective train station given that all other options such as building bus stations are disabled. Understandably therefore there aren't any passengers coming to any of the trainstations. Could it be that there are silly question marks hidden (optional missions) somewhere which you need to press to be able to build bus stations or something?

The first thing you need to do there.
Transfer a train from one station to another in less than 7 minutes.
After that should be accessible bus stops.

I tried this several times (and kept going bankrupt). What worked the best for me was to use a few tram feeders. Having tried this a few times, I could see that the tram lines definitely seemed to attract more passengers than the buses. And then of course, keep making the line more efficient (it HAS to be quicker for passengers to go by train, so keep an eye on frequency). (EDIT: Also, make sure your feeder routes are very frequent and covers the cities, otherwise it will be quicker for passengers to walk to the airport and fly).

Im going to try and put trams in. See if that helps the passenger count.

they R too much faster than Ur caompany Train. .
So nobody use Ur train.

Cut enemy road to airport and place bus station between airport and city

than nobody use Flight !!!!

I honestly have to say that the game really disappoints in some of the campaign missions. USA campaign was overall ok, Europe 05 was a big disappointment and so is this one. There is really nothing to decide or to do in those two missions and yet it takes forever to get to the next milestone. Right now everything is covered and still airplanes transport more passengers, which is kind of impressive as the street connection is cut and no one is heading to the airports. So.. meh, not impressed by this lame scripted number of passengers traveling by plane. :|

Its part of the game so its not cheating lol.
If the devs didnt want u to do it then they would prevent u from disabling access to the airports.
