As a thought, what are your specs?
There is a chance that you actually have a computer with a 64 bit CPU that was sold with a 32 bit OS. Since this game is available for Linux and SteamOS, you could install one of those as a second, 64 bit, OS if you have an appropriate CPU and play the Linux version of the game.
Be aware though that even if you have the right hardware, I'm guessing your going to be right on the edge of minimum specs (you will only have the bare minimum of 4GB of RAM for example), and I have no idea how well the Linux version performs (I might try it sometime, just to see).
Still, it's an idea. This is what I did with an old laptop that came with Vista 32 bit. Vista absolutely flogs the poor thing, and being so old hasn't helped, but it runs like dream under Linux (CubLinux, a variation of Ubuntu).
