Does the brightness of the cachement area mean anything?
When placing a truck station near an industry. The industry changes through several shades from bright white to grey depending how far the station is from the industry. Does anybody know what these different shades indicate?

No and I don't know why...

I believe it has to do with accessability. As long as a building is in a catchment area of a single station or stop, it will surely use it as distribution or collection point for passengers or cargo. I believe, based on my city network of 2 city tram lines, 4 city bus lines and 3 regional bus lines in the largest city in the free scenario I currently play, that if a building has access to multiple stations or stops, it chooses the one closest to it (displaying the building in the brightest shade of white) for distribution or collection point.

Does the "search discussions" button work?

@ Mr Felidae: Thanks. That makes about much sense as anything.

@ChuckHunter: I did a search for this subject before posting my question. I found two threads discussing the subject. While there where a few guesses nobody in either thread could say what the difference in brightness was actually for. So please get off your high horse.

I think it could also be the terrain height/shape changing. (The grey) White of course is the catchment area of a station.
