Cant get my Wood-to-Plank production working
I deliver raw-wood from a woodcamp to a plank-factory. But the wood-camp doesnt really deliver. It says it has 58 in storage, but it wont really deliver to neither my trainstation nor my car-freight-depot (which i just set up to test if that option works). Sometimes the wood camp decides to deliver liek 1 or 2 wood to my station and then starts to produce like 1 or 2 wood. After that it sets itself back to 0 production. I cant get it to work. I now put so many trucks on thtat route to eliminate the possibilty of "to little transport-demand".

Does anyone have a clue? Seems like a bug. Has there been an update in the past, that only works with a new map? Cause my map im working on is quite old.

Are you delivering your planks to a machine/tools factory that is then delivering it's end product to a town?

You need a complete supply to demand chain for cargo to work. If there is no delivery to a town that demand the final product you're going to have empty vehicles.

Check out the Cargo Guide for the detailed low-down.

Yes I do, although I could put more trucks on that final route. Thank you, I will check out the guide!

Maybe the amount of trucks (not enough) is the problem, that has to do with the delivery frequenty.
Even if you have enough transport capacity with the amount of trucks you have now, the demand side (where you deliver) probably wants a higher delivery frequenty. This has also to do with the amount of storage on the delivery side. When factories / shops are small, they can't handle a big amount at once on delivery.

So I found the problem and I feel a bit silly that I didn’t think of it earlier. My chain of goods had enough trucks/trains on it. But I failed to deliver to the correct part of my city. I only had a freight depot that covered the commercial/residential part of my city. Once I got a delivery-chain within my city to the industrial zone set up, the demand started to go crazy for my final product in the delivery chain. Wares need to be delivered to the industrial zones, while bread for example needs to be delivered to the commercial zones. Guess it’s obvious, but I just didn’t think of it. :)

You can use a (passenger) bus stop as drop off point, so you don't need to build another truck depot in your city. ;)

You can drop off cargo at passenger train stations if it has a truck station in range with a line dropping that cargo off btw.
