Hello! Will adjacent cities grow and eventually combine into one (no country road in between)?

If cities are close enough and they grow large enough they will at some point, but they'll retain separate stats regarding population, demand, etc. With that said, on the default map settings, they are unlikely to, so you'll more likely need a custom map, or tweak the map settings.

They are most likely to meet if you use intercity bus/tram lines, instead of intercity train lines.
