European Mission 5 - Willingness
What's up with the willingness to travel. I've been trying this mission for the 5th time or something like that. It builds up to 8-9% and then drops for no reason back to 0%

Anyone has some tips to keep it up. And don't say destroying industry, cause i don't got the money for that

Actually the key to this is:

1 City has, what the others don't.

What is it? :)

The goods, but i'm delivering that a lot to Hamburg, doesn't change a thing. Should i transport more

And I've had Koln up to 12% when suddenly it drops back to 1%. What's the reason for that

Unless the mission specifically scripts the goods to have an effect on this mission byond what it normally does, then there should be no reason for the Goods to have anything to do with the mission. People do not travel based on the supply of frieght.

I finnished the mission in 1965 with all medals. Add more planes to your lines and make more direct bus/tram lines to your airports, and make sure the bus/trams can handle the capacity needed, to increase the usage. You should be utilizing all 55 bus stops and 5 airports at your disposal on the last part of the mission. I had Stuttgart at 17% and it didn't even have a direct airline to Hamburg, I took it up to Schwersin(sp?) instead.

I have a different issue with this. For a brief moment (2-3 months) I had all cities at 10% or higher yet the game never triggered the end of the mission. I have then improved airports, bus lines and whatnot, only to be stuck between 0% and 9% in Köln and Stuttgart. Really irritating!

Edit: I finally got my 10% in all cities (again). I had to divert traffic from flight to buses between Köln and Stuttgart.

The demand comes more quicker with buses, because with planes, it helps to keep the 15 earlier (slower) planes until this era... because passengers work with a maximum budget. If you always have the latest plane, then you lose more passengers willing to travel between cities by plane. It is doable with only planes for intercity travel, but you have to know the budget constraints (which isn't very well documented, but we have enough evidence of its requirements) to get it to work effectively.

Thanks so much. I had the sky full of airplanes and trucks going from Hamburg to every city in big numbers. Still never reached 10% willingness in Stgt and Köln cities.

Then I created inter-city bus lines (no one ever actually used them) and the rated suddenly went up with a little delay. Ridiculous...

It turns out the solution was simple. Create lines from your airport bus stop to the city's Commercial area. Boom the willingness went straight to 10% from 5/6% in less than a year.
