Complete coverage achievement
Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone can help on how to get the "Complete coverage" achievement? (Reach at least 80% passenger line usage in a town.)

I have almost all the others but I can't get close with this one, they best I have got is just 60%, and most of the time I struggle to get over 50.

Any tips?

The time I got it, I got it basically by accident. It was on a fairly developed map-in-progress, and I was expanding to a small, new town, simultaneously providing it with both complete local transportation (i.e. buses) and also a train line to my main "hub city." On larger, more developed cities, I never got close to 80% (I once managed to squeak into the 70s in my hub city, but as it kept growing that just fell down and down).

I have been concentrating on the needs of just one city to get this achievement and the related cargo ones. I have bus and train lines to all the other cities on a small map and just keep hovering around 60% too. I tried adding an airline to a non-directly connected city, but after 5 years of no passengers I abandoned that.

This was the last medal I had to get and it proved very difficult. Some pointers that might help...
* Coverage only relates to people movements nothing to do with goods.
*People go from home to work or shop and home again.
* Coverage percentage is shown on the top line when you click on a town.
* Setup bus routes that go from residential to shops and/or work. If you can put a train between the town and another town your residents may travel from home to work or shop in another town.
Don't forget though if you do that you need to transport people around that other town.
*When you have set up your transport routes have a look at those who are still walking as this will give you a clue as to where your coverage is not adequate.
* Make sure you have an adequate number of bus stops and plenty of buses. Each route should have a maximum wait time below 3 minutes.
* Keep an eye on people waiting for buses as you may have to increase the quantity.
Do the above and you will get there, I reached 80% and it didn't give me the medal until I did it for a second time!!

I would add that you should also provide buses to outside towns, not just trains. Some people have the "cheap" transport preference and won't ride your fancy fast train. They will ride a bus though.
