if i understand right...
i put locoment and 8 cargo in grey and start on auto..that replace only one if get old?
lets says loco and 7 cargo is very new and one is very old and out of time (lifespan)
will that replacement auto on that one old or ricdulz all because of one old cargo?
While food is always wanted and is a safe bet, fuel seems to give you much more profit per train, that is assuming there is enough demand. Goods also do well, but the longer chain may not be worth the trouble for you, as I feel Fuel seems to give more profit.
Regarding distance, a product is worth more the further it is from the place it is made. If you have a long line between the Oil Well and the Fuel Factory, try and sell the stuff near the Oil Well end. If it is a short hop, you will get the most profit if you then ship it onto another location, and sell from/to there.
Regarding auto-replace, when the first piece of equipment reaches its age, it will want to replace the entire train. This is fine if you have lots of money, but for those playing on hard they may prefer to not use the function, and swap out individiual old railstock in a depot.
You'd most likely find that in some of the discussion threads on the forums from users, than in other places.
