You should be able to simply draw a road or track over another road or track and use the "M" & "N" keys to raise and lower it so it works. Make sure you start and end far enough away to allow a sensible slope up and down back to the ground.

What richardaandre said works. If you want to fit it in an even tighter space though, you'll want to create a short steep ramp on either side before making the bridge portion. It also helps if you make the railway you are bridging over dip into the ground a bit in order to allow more clearance.

Use the up-and-down arrow in combination with the M and N keys (when building a bridge the M and N key mostly impact the hight of the centre of the bridge) * just fiddled with this for over 2 hours to make a perfect bridge, i hate this game ;-) *

^ I feel your pain, i just wanted to get it right arghh.

another method is to use the m,n keys and create the bridge at a height you like then remove the ramps or section of bridge and create a more flat approach for trains with higher speeds or with a low traction limit

The M and N keys (I personally use C and V since it's easier to get to with the left hand... key binds can be changed in the controls) to raise or lower a segment of road or rail. The focal point is usually the center of the road/rail segment, and the road or rail will adjust to it. It's a lot harder to raise rail up, because of slope restrictions, so it could help like Vimpster indicated to also do the same for the road or rail that will be crossing under the bridge by dropping it into the ground in the same manner so you don't have to raise up the bridge too much.

Using the M/N keys also allows you to find a better price when laying down roads or rail in general, since you can either force the center of the road or rail to raise or lower which may adjust better to the terrain.

Yes, it's for the center of a bridge (or tunnel) you're going to create. It might be easier for you if you try it out in the middle of nowhere first to get a feel for what happens. Just stretch a road (or rail) for some distance, and before hitting the check mark to accept, hit the M or N keys and see what happens. Also try doing the same thing by creating a length of track/road, and then hit that arrow button and screw around with the up/down buttons next to it.

Unless I need a very simple arced road bridge, I use the arrow button rather than the M/N keys. It's a little more work, but it gives me more options.
