How do you transfer cargo from trucks to trains?
In transport tycoon (a game this is very clearly inspired by) you added truck stops to a train station, then you told the truck to unload here. I can not figure out how to do it in transport fever though.

It's about the same. Just build a truck-station near the train-station (make sure the white range-indicator reaches the rails). All cargo will then be available where needed and it works the same on every other building/station.

If there is demand for the cargo on the train-station, it will unload at the truck-station and transfer automatically. You can also use a bus-stop for delivery if trucks only unload and there is nothing to pick-up.

If you have a working supply (e.g. food) and a demand (commercial city buildings), the products will be created and find there way there as long as you put the transportation in place. Anytime something is created, it is pre-destined for a specific location and the route is known (although possibly not by you). You can't tell vehicles to load or unload. You just create the correct type of vehicles, assign them to a line, and they'll do the right thing if you've done your job correctly.

So let's say you have a working food factory, and you set up a line to deliver food to City A and continue on to City B. Now let's say that a loaf of bread is created that is destined to go to a shop in City B. But before it arrives there, you bulldoze the tracks from City A -> City B. That food is now orphaned. It will never be redesignated to go to a building in City A. It will sit at the terminal forever, waiting for transport to City B.
