Train simulator is what it says on the tin, a train sim. But is it worth it, dunno, i bought it a while ago and the base content is just too little and i ended up pirating every dlc cause i wouldn't buy them. ( plenty of them are poor quality, the nice ones are the same price and just too expensive, some have bugs that make them unplayable ), also it's generally badly optimised, the envirronments look aweful and the framerate is on the border between stuttery and console. I'm not familiar with other recent train sim but i'd say tryign out older train sim games like Trainz might be a better idea if you don't want to invest 100$ in dlc straight up.
Cities Skylines is most definitly the best city sim, building game right now. The base game is complete, looks nice, farely good in terms of performance, and it probably has more mods and assets available than Oblivion and Skyrim combined it's ridiculous.
if you want a quick and addictive 2D managing game i'd recommend Another Brick in the Mall. It's a shopping empire managment game and it's fairly easy to play, but really addictive, the profit, the size and the amount of people on the screen at peak hours is pretty absorbing
If you already own Transport Fever, there's really no point getting Train Fever.
Train Simulator is good if you want a train driving game, where you control just 1 train and complete the scenario as instructed.
If you want something more of a tabletop train set simulator, I'd recommend Trainz for that. It's world-builder is pretty easy to use if you put the time in to learn it, but it does come with a few maps where you can control several trains with simple RC style controls and have several running at the same time.
* I've played train fever, and it is playable. But TPF is train fever on steroids. As others have pointed out, no sense in getting train fever now that TPF is here.
* 5 games in 2 days? How could you "know" them? I couldn't get through the tutorials for them in that time.
* You'll never get a "You've won!" screen in free play. It's "open ended". YOU set the victory goal (hook up all towns, make X amount of money, etc.)
* Train simulator, and trainz, are train driving simulators. They are not strategy games. I wouldn't even call them "games" at all. They're like using Word instead of hand-writing a letter. If you're into (kinda, sorta) realisticly driving a train, they're great(!)- if that's your thing.
* Sorry, I have no recommendations. You've already got the best of the best.
i need something similar to transport fever, more realistic and good graphics.
This transport fever is the best game i have played in years after Tropico or skyline cities.
Thanks again
