Is it like Locomotion?
Hello Steam-Community,

I just asked myself, if Transport Fever is a newer idea from the 2004 published game "Chris Sawyer's Locomotion". I really support the idea of a "remake".
What do you think? Do you even know "Locomotion"?

I do. Think Transport Fever is "Locomotion" (or TTD) on steriods. I wouldn't consider TPF a "remake" of Locomotion (or TTD), but they are the same genre- setting up a transportation network to make money.

The genre is the same, but don't mistake it to be a remake, there are some significant differences in the mechanics that a lot of people don't understand, because they are coming to the game thinking It's the same as Locomotion or TTD.

If you liked Locomotion, I'm sure you will like Transport Fever.

It has a lot of trains, but mechanically it's its own game. The biggest difference that really seems to catch people out is the pathfinding. Vehicles follow their assigned line to the letter, as does cargo. For example, a fast train will not route itself around a slower one, or automatically pick an empty platform. It is up to the player to design good lines and keep things organised and conflict free. Cargo is the same way. It will be assigned to a particular line, or sequence of lines.

Locomotion was my favorite game. Now, Transport Fever is my favorite game. It is different, but it is the way to satisfy your desire for a new updated Locomotion or TTD. There is nothing else out there like it!
