here is an example of bridge building*:

... make sure the embankments are a sufficient distance from any roads or rails as the bridge mechanic will place abutments, if they interfere with the road/rail terrain, it will collide.

... this part is optional, but shows that you can modify existing bridge structures like this:

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=868613519
... for multiple track, just laying the track along the existing track will create a double track bridge without pillar collisions, in some situations more than 2 tracks can cause difficulties when rebuilding bridge sections if the area is too constricted.

If you post a screen of your "problem area" maybe we can help?
* I am aware that one can use the M and N keys to adjust track height, the example above is about how to build a level bridge.
I would have to say that crossover and turnouts on bridges is even trickier to build without a collision going on somewhere.
Btw, what mod do you use for the game icons, ... I really like that look.
To be sure, what you have done is quite amazing, ... (hopefully you are not bald after that build) have you seen these?:

EDIT: forgot this one:

Well, im just too lazy. I like building tracks but im not always fond of putting down signals. About the reuse of tracks. I tried that. Believe me i have tried every single possibility concerning the most most effective way of transport. That does not includes reuse of tracks. The problem with that is that trains are bound to platforms. If trains would choose a free platform i would go for reuseing tracks. At the station they have to crossover to their own platform which causes delay for every train as the occupy the complete block. I could divide the station crossing block into sections but that takes soo much space and even then...
Anyways, what i created took a LOT of frustration...in the end i always manage to make what i want but it is sooo tedious or im just too impatient.
The icons i use come from trainfever and are found here: https://www.transportfever.net/filebase/index.php/Entry/709-Dutch-HUD-Icons/
