After that reinstall, i needed to remove 2 mods. Havent lost my save game...which i m happy...but i don't reinstall everytime my computer do a complete analyse for viruses...
Imho. McAfee has gone downhill since the original creator left, that has been quite a while now ;)
I use Avast (free) but it's all due to personal opinion and I actually didn't use any for quite some time without any problem, just doing a scan now and then with malwarebytes..
On the other hand, I really don't mind a wipe if something happens...
I remember that McAfee asked me a long time ago if Transport Fever was safe..i clicked allow all the time....So i ll try to investigate.
And thx again
mkbinkie,
Had even that save and autosave crash to desktop error
But Mcafee is ok with TF....so maybe it was my window analyse?
McAfee is the biggest crap.
Your game is installed with the .manifest file. If the .manifest file got corrupt, Steam will see your game is not there, but it is.
Check: D:\Steam\steamapps\appmanifest_######.acf
The #### is the number of the game. To restore, run the Backup and Restore function in Steam, if you backup your game.
If you have another computer with the game on, copy paste the manifest file and it will work.
GeneralGeldenhuy, well i didnt know this, i ll check this. now the game work fine. but i ll look for it
thx all :)
theres the free version;basically check the PC and then remove em if found, etc
bought version has many +'s from the free version, like advanced checks etc
I used many different AVs over the years and avast is currently the best free/registered solution imho.
