It's too fast
The time that enemies take to telegraph attacks is too short. There is not opportunity to react. At most you can only make maybe 2-3 hits before you have to dodge again. This makes gameplay really bad, cuz all you do is just dodge dodge dodge all over the place, it's no good dynamic. And there is not way to make difficulty easier? Always same? I can not even first level.

Grind a bit, get some new spells, then see that you are having those issues because you're at the beginning. If you want to try some higher level spells, add me and we can remote play so you can see what a mid level character plays like

There are a lot of good points in this thread but if you can't clear the first area I think there are some underlying issues. First of all, if an enemy is roughly your size or smaller they can be staggered by your attacks, interrupting their attacks and preventing them from moving or attempting another one for a split second. Basic Arcana all hit pretty much instantly in my experience, so if you have the range, most enemies can be interrupted by just hitting them first. You can continue the combo which will generally keep them staggerlocked, or you can follow up with one of your standard or signature. Learn how to balance dodging enemy attacks and bullying them into not attacking in the first place.
Bigger enemies, on the other hand, do telegraph more heavily and have a longer period between attacks, so you can just bait them, dodge around, and whack them in the butt Dark Souls-style.

mostly just attack and stagger lock them or get a feel for the time and range they will attempt to attack between and learn that, some mobs i now i can get in 2 hits between attacks before they swing again etc.

or you can just...never engage with them directly no matter the creature size and just maintain distance and use ranged spells (even some basics are ranged)
also another point of reference is that if your saying the games too fast and you have the starting spells Dragon fire (or whatever its called keeps you stuck in a position unless you dash out of it early as it fires 8 mini dragons)

Relying on range can be a good choice, but I'm assuming the OP only has access to the default Arcana since they have yet to get past even the first level. That does include a few ranged arcana, but when all you have to work with are one standard and the signature slot your ranged attacks will be on cooldown too much for playing keep-away all the time to be very practical imo. In any case, the fundamentals of interrupting enemies rather than dodging everything are still important, especially when you walk into a room with four archers or something.

oh yeah, totally forgot you have to beat a boss at least once to keep the arcana permananetly that is dropped from the chest
