Cabinet Mode - findings and suggestions
I'd like to report my experience of the cabinet mode so far is excellent. I have had some enjoyable games on the free table and trying out the others to the score-limits, and have now bought the gold pack - it's fantastic!

There are a few things that would be great additions to the cabinet mode, and I'm sure I speak for any pincab owner:

1) Visible scoring for all players. The scoring as current means it's very difficult to compete whilst playing 2 player, due to the player's score disappearing very quickly after a ball drains. This means you're unsure what score you're then trying to target whilst playing - in most cases you aren't sure if you've won until the last ball has drained. Seeing scores on tables like these really keep the competitive element going whilst playing. These tables work really well for 2P or more scoring games.

This would be ideally integrated with...

2) Backglasses (with scoring!). After rotating my cabinet playfield orientation in Windows, my backglass monitor and DMD/scoreboard monitors have misplaced wallpaper on them, leaving the main playfield running the game itself. I have to say, the tables look fantastic on the playfield, but the lack of backglasses spoil the overall effect somewhat.

Even if the backglasses can be added without scoring at this point, sending a black screen to any other monitors, would be a major plus for this setup. Integrated scoring would be absolutely amazing.

3) Auto-rotate for cabinet mode. On my cab, which I have TPA (with cabinet add-on to do this), FX2, Visual and Future pinball tables set up, they all work nicely in standard windows orientation. But for Zaccaria at the moment, the orientation needs rotating before loading it up.

4) Keeping the front-end table choice screens as static as they can be, for as long as they can be. Can you run a table from a command-line? This would be great. The use of 'higher-level' front-end table browsing software like Pinball-X mean a standard interface, straight to tables. When FX2 and TPA change the interfaces, it means reconfiguring our front-ends. Moving the table choice squares around means more reconfiguration! This is a minor thing, but hey, whilst I'm mentioning the others... :hopsyflopsy:

...and after running this on both desktop and cabinet....
5) Because the settings file gets synced to Steam, it means my settings for playing on my PC and on my cabinet cannot be kept separate. Will have to work out a way of stopping the cabinet one syncing down to the PC one...

I'm sure you have heard of similar suggestions in the past, though the discussion forums seem lacking in a 'cabinet mode' implementation thread, especially since the mode has been added. Thought it a good idea to start one off for any digital pincab owners out there...

I find the table zoom quite handy and the tables have a very satisfactory feel from what I've seen so far. Aside from the confusing micro-purchase options which mean the best way to really experience the game is to buy the lot in one go, I'm really liking what I've seen and find the regular detailed updates give great encouragement to the feel that this is a worthy investment, and the suggestions above would be great to see at some point.

Thank you!

I'd be crazy happy over a cabinet mode for Zaccaria, just as you say about. I would even pay for it as a dlc.

@Bombdog

For point 2, you can enable the second display in the options and it should display the backglass?

For point 3 i have made a guide:

You can apply that if you want and the game should start in portrait mode.

Not sure if you mean that as a whole but if you go to the options there is a button with "cabinet mode" and you can activate it.
In the options go to camera --> cabinet and turn cabinet mode to on.
