Wizard Scores

I don't like the way the Wizard Scores are calculated.

User mode should not be allowed.

Also the other modes like Lamp Hunter, Survivor etc. should be weighted low.

3 Ball Sim should be weighted 50%
5 Ball Sim, 20%
3 Ball Arcade 15% - 5 Ball Arcade 10%
Other insignificant modes 5%

If you want to be a pinball wizard then high scores are the rule stick - since the beginning of pinball time high scores are the answer, not all this other fluff.

I fully agree user mode scores should not be included, the others are fine bur you like you say eighted less, but both sim modes should count equally, it's equally tough to get the highest score on either mode, there should also be an overall ranking tallying up all the scores from all tables and get the overall Zaccaria wizard

My personal view on Wizard score:

3 Ball Simulation = Wizard score
All tables simulation score added together and that would be your final wizard score.

Fully agree with RAF that the user setting/mode should not be a part of the wizard score, nor any other game mode except 3 ball simulation, arcade mode can be misused with the amount of unlimited nudging, it should be a skill to nudge wisely and when to apply it.

The other modes are great but this should be a classic score calculation and really based on as much skill as possible, not only that but the few modes you have to participate in, the more people will pick it up and try to compete with this, which is of course where the real fun starts.

PS: The other thing that would be nice is that if you also select the general leaderboard on Wizard scores and friends only, so you can easy switch and check out.

As long the achievement leaderboard isnt affected i couldnt really care less but when that is said this games premis is a lot of different modes so see no real reason to downgrade them as people can just play them if it really matters to them. Fact is its not that difficult to get either a top score or end up in the top of a leaderboard in any of the modes, time consuming, yes, but not that difficult. But having an overall score might even make some untrained players play some more if they are interested in learning and contesting for wizard scores. When that is said i doesnt really care for that as i play more for the achievement leaderboard.

Thanks for the input. It just irks me when I see players at the number one spot in Wizard mode and they have no number one spots in Simulation. Crystalmsc is a good example, number one in Wizard mode on a lot of tables, but has limited or no number spots in Simulation mode. It's radically bogus. It's like pinball Welfare, how to milk the system.

IMHO 3 Ball simulation is be all to end all.

In real life i always preferred to play 3 ball tables vs 5 ball, In order to get the sim achievements it's almost a requirement to play 5 ball, especially on the new tables

I think the good thing about the 3 ball is that people who do not have the Bronze membership could still join in the fun with the Wizard score, so we include as much people as possible to join these type of rankings.
