there are strategies for you to survive 100+ waves which is the goal to survive as long as you can...it all depends on how your opponent plays

main strategy and best one is to go straight for ECO right on the start....because you will need ECO to survive long time for this

that means you place spikes and wait for that 1000$ ECO upgrade....after that you place a tower that costs up to 350$ and wait for that second 1000$ ECO upgrade.....you can place ninja which is 500$ but you will have to wait just a few seconds longer for 1000$ Eco upgrade...and so on you go for that 1000$ upgrade ECO until you have 495$ ECO then you can go for 7500$ upgrade ECO and then imedietly for 1000$ ECO again

but you will need to build a strong defense for that 7500$......4/1 Ninja and 2/0 Wizard should hold you good

Subs are also good, Dart Monkeys, Engeniers, they can all hold you for some time

You need Super Monkey, this is a must if you want to survive as long as you can....you can go for Sun God Temple with sacrifises that make it stronger (you need to know which sacrifise and how many you need for a sacrifice to take effect in power)

A strategy for fast win is to use Cobras.....they are risky to use because you will lack in defense and ECO because of them but they can finish your opponent in a short run....if your opponent can defend himself then you might lose because lack of defense

ECO is the most important in Defense....you go for ECO....going for Banana Farm is also a good strategy to survive longer waves

Micro Managing and using abilities is also something that is good to use to sruvive longer

many strategies, many loadouts that you can use for Defense, go to pratice and play around...just remember to go for ECO right on the start because that is most important thing you need to survive long

i've managed to use a loadout of banana farms, super monkeys and (if needed) a sub, and then if the bonus is cheap but reliable then i will use it (not including the cobra because that doesn't pop bloons easily)

you also need to know which bloons come on which wave so you are ready for Camo, Led, MOAB, ect. Just play on pratice you will learn it

sorry to be a grammar nazi but led bloons don't exist, leads do
I'm haven't played Defensive mode at all, but I've played around with late game strategies on practice mode, and I've found that it's most effective to do the following:

Bring with you these towers (if possible), and they all must be fourth tier:
~Ninja Monkey (Bloonjitsu, Flashbomb, and Sabotage Supply Lines are the important upgrades)
~Super Monkey (In case the game does go late game)
~Bomb Tower (Bloon Impact helps a bit, and is also good for Temple sacrifices later on)
~As a re-roll~ Bloonchipper (Which helps to stall the bloons later if you get some up to 4-2 and 2-4)

You can live pretty long without the bloonchipper, but they just help out a lot.

(The following is based off of my recommended towers)
As soon as you start the game, save up for the +70 eco (which costs $1000) as this will start making you money earlier. It's fine if you leak some lives, but get a ninja to 3-1 soon. When you have your ninja up, spam the +15 eco (which costs $300) until you can get another +70 eco. At this point you'll just be repeating this process until you have a little over 500 eco. Now, save up for a Bloonjitsu, and add in Distraction in case ceramics come. After you have gotten your ninja to 4-2, spam eco until you have over 850 eco, and save up for the +700 eco (which costs $7500). Get up a Flash Bomb ninja in case leads come, and then continue spamming whatever eco "upgrades" or "boosts" you can afford. Before round 27 (when the MOABs come), you'll want to get a few more Bloonjitsus, and before round 32 (when packed ceramics come), you'll want to get up a super monkey to 2-x, or 3-x. If you get up a few sun gods before round 40 (at least two), the regrow rainbows shouldn't bother you. After round 40, start getting a few Sabotage Supply Lines up because it only gets harder.

For the rest of the game, you should basically work your way up to Temples, unless your opponent dies. Throw in some of those bloonchippers here and there to stall the ZOMGs and other MOAB class bloons in the later game.

Also, you will eventually have to purchase 5 +2 eco "upgrades", as the eco cap is 3000, and without any +2 eco upgrades, you get stuck at 2990 eco.

I hope this helped! :>

2 strats that work for me. first one is engineer, super monkey and bomb tower, engineer is op because you're not going to be rushed by camos on round 12. second strat is dart monkey. super monkey and cobra (I know it's dirty but if you want switch it to bomb or chipper) I suppose there is a third strategy that works well in defend mode, that is farm, village and super monkey %100 win chance there

i go straight for the 0-0 ninja and spam $15 income boosts. if my ninja is struggling i upgrade to 2-1 and eventually 3-2. i press $70 income boosts once in a while. (long cooldowns) and by r15 i should have a couple of 4-2 ninjas and a 1-3 wiz. then i save up for $700 eco boost and put some more monkeys down. im not really sure what i could use as my 3rd tower but im saving up for a cobra. the wired funds upgrade might be useful...

i just hoped my opponent dies before a bfb comes out because i never got to the point of seeing a bfb cuz my opponent would have died before then
