A lot of towers can pop lead. Dart monkeys can pop lead when they are upgraded to Juggernaut, Boomerangs have very cheap lead popping, Engineer's cleansing foam/bloontrap can also pop lead, and much, much more! Add me if you have any other questions.
...But aren't metal and lead diffrient?
No. There is no such thing as a "Metal" bloon. They are called "Lead" bloons.
Erm, the gray balloon with bolts in it? I thought those were called metal balloon. anyway, I tried all those ways and it didn't pop them.
The metal looking bloon is called a "lead"

Actually you're incorrect about supermonkeys. You need a 2-? to pop lead. Laser Blasts can only pop frozen.

Helicopter's Razor Blades can also pop lead (3-?)

They're called Lead?... that makes no sence. XD anyway thanks much!

It would be weird to call them "metal" bloons instead of "lead"
Why? and I always thought the brownish ones that popped into blacks, whites, pinks, yellows, (etc,) were the lead. XD
Those are called Ceramics. They take 10 hits to destroy and breaks out into 2 Rainbow bloons. The blue blimps are called MOABs, containing 4 ceramics and having 100 health (At least in BTD5-wise) The red blimps are called BFBs, containing 4 MOABS, having 1000 health (BTD5) And lastly there is the black/green ones called ZOMGs that has 4000 health, splitting into 4 BFBs when destroyed.

Black bloons are immune to explosive damage, white bloons are immune to ice and zebra bloons are immune to both explosives and ice.

The rest of the bloons does not have a resist-sort of any kind.
Maybe he is talking about Camo-Leads
