Leveling and combat

Hello, I have played barely an hour (and already died 12 times :D) and I'm sure I'll spend many hours on it in the future. Although there are some problems which I can't get over with.
The first one is fighting against multiple enemies. I cannot win any battle against more than one enemy. I tried many strategies against some combinations of enemies (found about 8 kinds of enemies) but nothing made me won. Everytime I see 2 enemies or more I hope I manage to kill one of them by the gun (I'm dead instantly when I have no ammo). Anybody could explain me how to fight in that case? When I have to fight against 2 nurse-like enemies it's not really hard but those ones with special abilities (for example those ghosts which shots thunderbolts) kills me instantly when they are accompanied by anyone.
The second thing is leveling. The NPC in the starting location gives the opportunity to raise max health. I've noticed in the inventory that max health, stamina and damage are shown, so I suppose that I can level up all of them. The question is where can I upgrade stamina and damage? I really like grinding, farming etc. I use to push the main story forward only when my character is really strong.

Hey :) im busy so i just give you some upgrade spots... on first game they should be outside the house to the north and then leave west (dmg) or east (stamina?)... on both sides you can upgrade... so you just go up and then left or right... :P there's a thing infront of the house when you leave, it sells something strange i dont remember... oh and upstairs first door on right side you can level something, its smart to level as much as possible at same time because the price will rise with every transaction...

Thanks for the response. I went north several times but then I stayed in the house because I couldn't find anything. I remember that thing in front of the house. It sells blessings. When I go west/east right after it's possible I find nothing (east) or "red something" with eyes guarded by this guy who turns ground on black fire. I'll check northern areas again soon. Thanks!

Okay I found Stamina, Potions and Damage upgrade spots. I haven't noticed that there are other locations on the right and left in the area in front of the manor. Problem solved. Thanks!

The gun is not meant for dmg. Shoot them when they flash blue (if your flashlight is on) to make them kneel for a second. Get up close so you are touching them, and attack. This will deal great dmg.

Alternatively while guarding press the attack key exactly when an enemy attack lands for the same results.

For fighting multiple enemies try to line them up seperately snd remember rolling provides full i frames. Most enemies are very predictable like the butlers and maids.
