Bad game is bad, not complete. When you run out of ammo you reach into the void and gather negative bullets so ammo does not matter. Could not pass the third level because objective did not appear. This game was delayed a year. It should not exist.

28 Waves Later is a top-down, wave-based, zombie, survival shooter.
Each wave you need to clear the area by killing all the zombies.

Sadly you can only play the game for a few minutes, because after wave 3 you are stuck.
At wave 3 you need to kill the zombies and talk to a scientist.
He should give you a new task, but he doesn't!
The game tells you there are still zombie's alive, but they are all dead!
I have walked around the map for a good amount of time and I have replayed the waves several times without any success.

The controls are bad, the movement is buggy, the combat system is highly unbalanced and inaccurate.
Zombies often don't die or it seems like you have missed while that is just impossible!
Don't worry when you run out of ammo, Because in this game you go in the negative with ammo.

The game is broken, unfinished, abandoned and a complete scam!
Absolutely crazy how the developer asks 4,99€ for this game.

28 Waves Later is a cleverly titled wave-based zombie shooter, brought to us by Dagestan Technology; the same publisher/developer that worked on the Hotline Miami clone, Bloodbath Kavkaz. Now, if you're familiar with the aforementioned game, then that one statement will already have said a lot to you regarding this latest release.

As far as top-down, wave-based shooters go, this title has got to be one of the worst; it's so bottom of the barrel the developer didn't even finish it. Yes, that's right, despite several delays that cumulatively amounted to over a year, Dagestan Technology still had the nerve to release this pile of steaming poo even though there are only three levels in the entire game. Once you kill all of the zombies in level three and speak with the scientist, he will tell you there are still more zombies that are alive but there aren't.

The only developer "support" in the forums are a total of four comments, saying that the game will be released "soon" sometime last year. 28 Waves Later released in March, 2017 and was obviously swiftly abandoned, as there are no indications that the developer is still working on the title, and he does not address the 3 pages of threads regarding all of the bugs. So forget the fact that there are only a handful of zombie models, the same repeating background, terrible enemy AI, that the gun clip can go into negative bullets and still be functional, the complete lack of health and ammo pickups... the game isn't even finished! To top it all off, the achievements don't even work.

And to think, Dagestan Technology is trying to sell this hunk of gorilla turd for $5.49 CAD at the regular price, it isn't even worth the $0.54 CAD at a -90% off sale. Absolutely inexcusable, and insanely familiar of the bullcrap that Lord Kres pulled with Journey of the Light. Now all that needs to happen is when Steam goes to pull this game down, the dev claims that a pre-upload patch fouled the game up and that there actually are more levels. Yeah... right.

This game is so bad that I feel compelled to make a review.

They kept pushing the release date for months, hopefully to fix an incomplete game. It feels like they made this in an afternoon. Not even the dialogue was correct.

For the love of god don't spend money on this.

We have a classic Flash shooter games, that kind of game you can find thousands of times on every free website. Graphics are from the top, like, when we played GTA back in the '90s I think. Except we're in 2017 but whatever.
Everything's literally terrible, at times unwatchable and unplayable. Enemies, i.e. zombies, are poorly designed sprites that walk oddly towards you and instantly die on the snowy floor.
28 waves later, as the title says, yeah, on the same stage.
Plus, you have on the upper right side a big white square that tells you what you have to do (kill x zombies, clear the path, resist etc.) which blocks the view.
The game's all here. WASD keys for movement, and you shoot (preferably with an autoclicker).
Bugged, glitched, unfinished, with lots of problems on every side, with no customization of any kind.
Really, one of the worst top down shooters you'll ever find.
5 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ euros!

At wave 3, after you've killed all the zombies and then talk with the scientist, he will say "who are you? blabla", then says: "there are more zombies!" and all of the objectives disappear, and I've walked around the map like 5 times and NO zombies come
and the scientist doesn't say anything new. Can't even finish the game..
Restarted and took new game 3 times but it's the same result.

Issues:
- When you've shot all your bullets, you don't have to reload any more and you have infinite bullets, and for each bullet you shoot, the counter shows -1, so sooner or later you will have -100 bullets.

- There's a symbol for health packs but I haven't seen any pick-ups, and there's no ammo boxes so I don't get the
point of seeing how many bullets you have left anyway.

- It's difficult to get the achievement for not dying for the full game since
1.) you can't even pass wave 3 and
2.) the zombies spawn right f***ing next to you so you don't even have the time to react and shoot them.

- The walking sounds are repetitive and makes you want to turn off the volume after 2 minutes of playing.

This is a terrible game.

It feels like it's someone's first game they made in Unity using asset packages without really knowing how the program works.

No, I don't recommend this game.

I kinda enjoyed the game. I remember back in school when i would go to new grounds and play zombie flash games. This game is not 100% finished and does have bugs

Cons:

- poor graphics
- pretty short Game
- almost 0 story
- poor grammar (mine isn't the best, too. But I dont make games :P)
- unclear mission objectives
- 40% of the zombies are hiding somewhere – you gotta run around and find them
- Difficulty not changeable
- Zombies may spawn right into you

All in all, this game is not worth $4.99 or more. If you get it for $0.50, you might give it a shot and play the game for a maximum of 2 hours, even though there are better games to buy for $0.50…

- Schlechte Grafik
- Ziemlich kurzweiliges Spiel
- So gut wie keine Story
- Schlechte Übersetzung ins Englische
- Ein Teil der Zombies versteckt sich irgendwo – man muss das komplette Level nach ihnen absuchen
- Schwierigkeitsgrad ist nicht einstellbar
- Unklare Missionsziele
- Zombies spawnen manchmal direkt in dem Spieler

Das Spiel ist die 5€ definitiv nicht wert, wem das Spiel wirklich auf der Shopseite gefallen sollte, der sollte warten bis es für 49ct im Sale ist.

'28 Waves Later' is a top-down zombie shooter which requires you to make your way through 28 maps, hence the reason for the name. I assume it is also a nod of appreciation for the movies '28 days later' and '28 weeks later', but other than that shares very little in common.

The company responsible for this is Dagestan Technology a Russian Developer and publisher who has developed quite a reputation over the recent years of someone who does not screen test their games or published products very well. A perfect example of this is the aforementioned game. Though being delayed release for well over a year, the game still maintains a number of bugs which have infuriated countless gamers and achievement hunters flooding us with scores of negative reviews.

One of the biggest culprits of this is a bug which will halt your progression in the game. Whenever you find a survivor your required to place your mouse cursor over the person and click the left mouse button ONCE which will produce automatic scrolling text. If you are impatient and click it more than once then the survivor will default to an earlier text box stating that you have not killed all the zombies and your progress will be halted.

Another more novel bug is the fact that if you empty the clip of your gun totally you will then be able to shoot negative bullets infinitely. This is more in the gamer's favour as it means you can upgrade everything else other than reload speed since you won't be needing it.

Finally there is an achievement bug which requires you to finish the game without injury. People like myself have finished the last level without being injured, but the achievement never unlocks. So it seems that the requirement is to pass the entire game without any injury. This is actually impossible for two reasons. 1) On wave 8 you are automatically injured at the start of the level, this is unavoidable and 2) You can also be injured at the end of the level when your upgrading your perks, as the zombies can still harm you, though your health indicator is not visible to you. This unlockable violation has been known to the developer since June 2017 and zero has been done about it. So, if you’re a genuine achievement hunter who is not willing to use outside programmes like S.A.M, then I suggest giving this one a miss as it will definitely falter your 100% completion list.

I'm not sure if the above mentioned achievement bug is an accidental oversight or a planned trolling mechanism. There are a number of things that points to the fact that Dagestan (AKA Roman) enjoys trolling gamers. For instance in one map there is a first aid kit on the floor just outside the map. Also in another map a single zombie will lie waiting inside a building corner. On another map the last zombie only spawns in after a significant time limit, making you wander around aimlessly waiting for him to appear.

There are a few things which surely would have also been obvious improvements if implemented. Things like a radar so you can see where the enemy is, a level selection screen and the ability to change weapons, since you’re required to find a few. Story follows only the basic principle there's zombies shoot them. Unlike the movies it never goes into deep matters of self-preservation and how it can affect our moral compass, or the scrupulous methods that government will go to cover things up.

Having pointed out all these failings I still enjoyed playing it, the animation is somewhat fitting, there is some versatility between the various levels, some requiring you to run and gun, others requiring you to stay indoors and be very, very quiet and others requiring you to hold the fort in a corner as a hidden timer clicks down.

The biggest in game laugh would undoubtedly be the car alarm of wave 16, it seriously has to be heard to be believed...

In final I've played worse and I've played better. For a game that was delayed for well over a year you would think that not only would all the kinks be ironed out, but that the game would be fairly optimised for better gameplay. I find it funny that he calls his company ‘Dagestan’. The word ‘Dagestan’ is a Persian word meaning ‘Mountain’. I have no problem with that. I have no doubt that his company is a mountain. I have a problem with the second word 'technology', I feel he should replace that with the word 'flatulence'.

Since the game is technically broken (definitely not worth $5.00), hopefully 28 Violation buttons later, the Steam General Gabe will release the fighter jets and 'Operation Fireball' on this thing will be a GO...
