Game Crashes After Easy Anti-Cheat
I recently got a new computer and redownloaded Steam and Paladins on it, but the game has crashed upon every launch. It always crashes after the Easy Anti Cheat window finishes loading and goes away. The client will not load up after and the program simply stops in task manager, allowing me to repeat the cycle.

I already tried a variety of fixes, all of which didn't work. I have run as administrator, verified the integrity of the game files, and even updated to Windows 11. I have done pretty much everything that I can find online as a solution, and nothing has resulted in any progress. Always crashes at the same time, same way.

I know my computer can run the game and I assume it's a problem with the Anti Cheat, but nothing seems to work.

I just downloaded today and it won't start. It worked before when I downloaded it, but that was like 4 years ago.

Same here. I've even tried installing, repairing, and reinstalling the easy anti cheat.

ive contacted support but they werent too helpful about this. i hope they fix this
My game not crashing, but I'm staring at eac screen for a while, I don't remember such thing in the past, 1-2 years ago.

Most likely, and it was a lot of discussions in the past, eac won't approve asus aura and something else, i forgot. So basically you need to get rid of pre-installed oem software, might help.

OK this is how you fix it,

go to steam library right click paladins go to properties under launch options copy and paste this, the whole thing.

cmd /c "set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000 && %command%"

and launch it
this is an openssl bug that has not been updated on i think most hirez games, you prolly cant play smite either. this will fix both these games i have tested this and a few friends and it has worked.

has nothing to do with anti cheat it is issues with certain cpu's and openssl

An original equipment manufacturer. For example Asus. Basically, any PC from shops, unless you're DIY person and can build your own or using similar services.
In the past it was a lot of issues with Asus Aura and something from Gigabyte.
EAC used to block it.

I found the solution steps are copied here hope this helps!

1. Navigate to the following folder:
<Steam Directory>\steamapps\common\Paladins\Binaries\EasyAntiCheat\Launcher

2. Edit the Settings64.json (You will need a text editing software like Notepad for this task)
3. Change 'Win64\\Paladins.exe' to 'Win32\\Paladins.exe'
4. Save the file and attempt to launch the game.

I've searched for a solution for hours on end and this is the only thing that worked. Thank you so much and please avidly share this on YouTube so that noone else has to suffer just because Hi-Rez hasn't fixed their game.
