Account linking "something went wrong"

Once an Hi-Rez account was linked to your steam account, you can never link another Hi-Rez account to it. I wrote the support because i had no progression in Paladins and allways got the error "something went wrong. Please try again later" when i tried to connect my Hi-Rez acc. As it turned out it was the wrong Hi-Rez account linked to my steam. The support then told me i had to make a NEW steam account to connect my real Hi-Rez account with it. What is the point of this? Why cant people like me, who accidentally connected the wrong Hi-Rez account, just unlink them and connect another Hi-Rez Account?Why why why? I just cant think of one logical reason. If the answer is BeCaUsE oF tHe sMuRfS im completly done. Because the smurfers dont give a flying ♥♥♥♥ about this and just will make new steam accounts. While a normal person like me is now forced to make a new steam account. Needless to say i wont do that.

Linking Hi-Rez to my Steam account has just nuked the account I've been playing on, using steam. I'm at a loss to explain how Hi-Rez could be this stupid. I don't have a clue how many hours it's going to take me to get my money back, and there's obviously no way I can get my time back. I have never regretted playing a game more than I regret playing Paladins. I've been playing games since the 1980s and I've never felt remotely as abused as I do right now. I really wish Steam would be more careful about the companies it allows to do business on its platform.

This is like 4 years later or 3 but my account says “something went wrong during login. Please try again!” But I literally played the game closed it to play another and then came back to see this
