THIS GAME WAS NOT PROPERLY AUTHENTICATED AT LAUNCH TIME i am taking this error is there anybody who face with this message ? how can i fix it ?

when we login and a windowed screen pops up and we see the game loading (that small box and green bar).How much time does it take for your pc to load?

SOLN 3 : In start menu type hi rez diagnsotic and support and it will start
1. Now click on restart service
2.click on check for updates to check if ur's is an old version
3. click on re run pre requisites and then finally click on validate/repair (I think this opt wont work).

only took 30 sec, i dunno is that bad thing? the game works fine this morning, when i tried to re run game afternoon, this problem occurs, and i did ur trd solution, doesnt fix it, thanks for your help anyway, this game still on beta afterall right

Well what I say is that what happened with my game is that green meter took a min to fill up when there was this error and before it took 5 sec to load game ,so I thought it was bit fishy and then I tried to reinstall the service and did many things and then I won.Well try to verify integrity of game cache.


You can create a backup of game and then uninstall it and reinstall using backup (doesnt make sense I think)

You try to run all the application in redist folder in paladins folder cuz I did same.

SOLUTION 2 : Go to add or remove programs and uninstall hi rez update and authentication service and then go to your paladins folder and find the redist folder inside your paladins folder in that redist folder there will be an application named installhirezservice run it and try ur game once again.


For my fix the problem was the hirez service wasnt installed correctly and it didnt even appear in my add or remove program list so I ran that application and fixed the game for me

Did You Enable the Hirez service when you disabled it??? because it still doesnt work and I have already uninstalled and downloaded it again.... Please Help with this problem

I disabled it and then set it to automatic then whenever it is req it will start

Lol, you can just backup the game to your flashdisk and restore it via steam
i restart my modem and it works

It doesnt even open the launcher when i deleted Hi -Rez Authentication!

I fix the problem. All you need to do is go to the paladins launcher, then press in the configure icon and press in troubleshoot, then press in re install pre programs and that is all :) it works for me

yes ofc this had to happen ! THE FIX IS :
Go to ur paladins folder and then go to redist folder inside the paladins game folder (search for it) and install all applications.I guess 1 of them is of hi rez launcher .

try running the exe's again in : \steamapps\common\Paladins\Binaries\Redist (right click and run as admin) could be some freaky stuff going on on your pc that prevented them from running originally? /

Here's a simpler solution!

Log in, don't click play, disconnect from your wifi, click play, wait for 4sec, reconnect to your wifi, DONE!

I have the same problem. When you launched the game, after the "this game was not properly authenticated at launch time" you should open "C:\Users\(Your User\Documents\My Games" and delete "paladinslive". Now you start the game. I have to do that every day to play. I hope ir works to you.

What I did to fix many of the errors with the game is navigate to your game folder then Binaries>Redist>InstallHirezService and run as administrator. It will reinstall (very small install) and then run the game it will say it is doing a first time setup then it will launch and the launcher should be corrected and the game should launch as normal.

If you want to test put in an invalid username and password if it goes through your launcher isn't working, and this fix should work. If it says the username and password are incorrect then most likely the authenticate service is not turned on in which case hitting windows key+R then services.msc and search for the Hi-rez one and turn it on.
