Easy Anti-cheat Type 7
I've suddenly started getting an error popping up under a black screen when trying to log on.

Type:7
Cause: C:\Windows\System32\ws2_32.dll
Message: Untrusted system file (C:\Windows\System32\ws2.32.dll

System file checker says the file checks out. And google states it's part of MSDN.

I've tried validating the game cache (all okay) and forcing easy anti-cheat to re-aquire it's certificates... so far no luck.

Any suggestions? Or should I accept that it's time to move on?

Maybe you installed a third party software that triggers EAC. That used to happen with me in Grand Theft Auto V, even being different games with different anti cheat softwares.

I haven't installed anything since I last played though.

Try veryfing the Event Manager in your computer in the exacly time where you got this error, the app will tell everything that happened and the exaclty software that uses that file, since idk what does your file do, you'll have to make a search around the web and figure out.

Hmm... I don't seem to have anything called "Event Manager". The Event viewer is only telling me that the hiRezSoftwareManager is pausing and unpausing correctly. Otherwise, it's not leaving anything at the time of the error.

I'll gladly admit I don't really know what I'm doing :)

Do you still have a USB game controller attached?

1. Please visit the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

2. Select "Download" and then select "x86" and "x64"

3. Run each .exe separately and select the 'repair option' if listed during the installation. If ‘repair’ is not listed, please simply install both packages.

4. Reboot your PC when both are repaired, and try launching the game again.

at run each .exe that i m only run and nothing come out...so u just run that x86 x64 then restart computer

that i send mail too paladins they send me back...u can try follow that ~its work for me~

Thanks, Ill give it a go... Hi-rez tech support is talking to me about the issue, but we are still plodding through basic diagnostics, virus checks and whatnot. Four hours in to a boot scan right now. It says 0% complete, which is worrying, that suggests about 20 days total runtime... I like paladins and all, but not that much.
