1.Click on the start icon type cmd in the search box, right click on cmd and click on ‘run as administrator’.
2.Type in the following commands and hit enter: regsvr32 wintrust.dll
Restart the computer and check if it helps.
Also i suggest download and running this little guy https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/
It'll probably sniff out any potential unwanted software and get rid of it.
Well I tried the program you suggest but it says nothing found in my pc? I've done regsvr32 wintrust.dll thing too but still have that issue
Nothing helped.
Why am i saying this?
Older Windows 10 core versians have this problem and not just wintrust.dll but a lot of errors that hinder your apps.
This are the things i tried. (did not work at all)
1. Replace missing *.dll files in system32 etc.
2. downloaded useless applicatins to fix errors
3. tried repairing regestry using CMD
4. reinstalling DirectX and other related files.
5. Looked for Malwares and adwares.
6. Scaned my system using CMD
7. Tried youtube tutorial. Hopeless
If you tried all this then you ended up like me.
BUT!! since the problem is with your system or OS error maybe due to some instabilities on Windows. I got a solution for you.
It took me 3 days of Microsoft techsupport and yeah... it's insane.
This fix may take hours or maybe a day AND IT WILL FIX ALL ERRORS and PROBLEMS.
NOTE MAKE SURE: Your operating system is an ORIGINAL OS
Step 1
Download (MediaCreationTool.exe)
you can google it.. its in the oficial microsoft site.
It helps you download and upgrade your Windows 10 to the latest build.
(hey!! why not go to settings and just update it there? well.. it wont work.. trust me)
Step2
Run MediaCreationTool.exe as Admin
Step3
Accept...
Select upgrade windows 10 (even if you have windows 10 just upgrade it)
or
Save the windows installer as an *.iso file and mount it then do installation.
Make sure your connected to the internet at all times
just go with the flow! Update and istall..
NOTE: This takes time
What it FIX:
fix Missing *.dll files in system (yeah.. all of it)
fix errors on startup
fix Update errors
fix Activate windows error (if your running original OS and windows 8 upraded to 10)
Yeah... mostly fix all and makes your computer run fast again.
